Ambiguously canon?
Edit
If the comic is non-canon, wouldn't he be as well?--Lord OblivionSith holocron

- You would think so... Darth Validus 15:42, 1 May 2007 (UTC)
- I agree; just from the nature of the article, it's laughable to even think it could be a serious part of the Star Wars universe.--MarioFanaticXV 09:50, 29 October 2007 (UTC)
Um...
Edit
Does it bother anyone else that this article is longer than the one on Protocol Droids? -Milo Fett[Comlink] 00:20, 25 May 2007 (UTC)
- Why, no, not at all ^_^.Cyfiero 03:05, 2 January 2008 (UTC)

- I strongly believe this... character is not meant to be canon. The family tree over the Fett clan also shows him as that btw. Gotipe 09:20, 19 June 2007 (UTC)
- Yes,I agree.In fact,When I first saw him,I almost thought he was fanon!! Imperialwalker 19:53, 20 June 2007 (UTC)

Canon
Edit
Ok, this dude is definatly not canon. I don't even think that the writer of the comic ment him to be canon. Besides wasn't Jango Fett the last mandalorian before he started to clone himself? —Unsigned comment by 65.4.158.36 (talk • contribs).
- I agree. There's a 99% chance that this is not canon, but bare in mind that there's still a 1% as it's not completely impossible. Unit 8311 15:46, 25 June 2007 (UTC)
- Was jango the last Mandalorian? Was that what Kreia was talking to Mandalore Ordo about? Was That some sort of prophecy? —Unsigned comment by 74.226.195.240 (talk • contribs).
- Of course, Jango Fett wasn't the only Mandalorian surviving the Mandalorian Civil War, but after that, the Mandalorian warriors stopped their traditional wars against other worlds, I think. I haven't read any comics about the conflict myself, but the planet Mandalore wasn't exactly unpopulated after that. :P Gotipe 18:12, 17 July 2007 (UTC)
- Well, even if it wasn't canon, I'd welcome it to my own fan-fiction with my friends because it's hilarious. Cyfiero 03:07, 2 January 2008 (UTC)
- But no seriously, Jango only had one sibling, and that was his sister. His sister was killed by Death Watch when she was probably too young to get married. Also, Melvin inherits the Fett name. That would imply that it would have to be Jango's brother not sister that Melvin was the son of. However, Jango never had a brother. This means that Melvin Fett is undoubtedly non-canon. Cyfiero 08:51, 5 January 2008 (UTC)
- I think you're applying real-life conventions and norms to this case, which is just plain wrong. --Imperialles 11:56, 5 January 2008 (UTC)
- Imperialles has a point here, Cyfiero. Maybe Mandalorians use a different convention for surnames. Maybe there is a third Fett sibling we have not heard of yet. Maybe Jango's sister was really married, and her husband decided to use her surname instead of his (a convention that has been used in real-life sometimes), and maybe the husband even had a child from a previous marriage with another Fett woman (Thus, Jango could be Melvin's uncle and cousin). Even if none of this is true, there are many explanations - specially with a highly-retconned backstory such as Fett's (I still remember The Last One Standing), which could be retconned again. Although Melvin is hard to include in continuity, IMHO, there is not enough evidence to consider Melvin "undoubtedly non-canon". As for me, I'd rather assume innocence until proof of the opposite.--Skippy Farlstendoiro 10:43, 6 January 2008 (UTC)

Not canon!
Edit
How can ANY of this be considered canon? It's ridulous! If we were allowed to swear, I'd put a template saying: This article is absolute horse shit. Darth Oompa Loompa 01:00, 24 February 2008 (UTC)
- Kriffing hell, will you please read the above discussions and the article? Logic does not dictate canon. We do not decide what is or is not canon. Thus, no non-canon tag. -- AdmirableAckbar (Talk) 01:02, 24 February 2008 (UTC)
