Talk:Mirta Gev
From Wookieepedia, the Star Wars wiki.
She revealed herself to Boba Fett on Taris carrying the crest he had given to Sintas Vel back in 19 BBY
- Can someone with the book confirm this. I don't believe Fett met Sintas when he was only 13. QuentinGeorge 07:07, 28 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Shouldn't she be classified as a Kiffar?
There's only a few differences between them, so technically she'd be Kiffar.Darth T.

But in the Legacy of the Force series it says that she 'has no sudden urge to REJOIN Kiffar culture' which implies that she has abandoned it when she married that guy who's name i can never remember...
Also what would happen to Sintas. The nanokiller was taken from Mirta so if she has enough of Fett's blood in here she must have enough of Sintas' blood. Star Dreadnought 21:42, 8 April 2009 (UTC)
[edit] Mandalorian
I don't have the book yet (stupid sold out bookstores), but is Mirta a Mandalorian? Her father was one, and she knows the language, so I'm guessing from this article that she was raised as one. Should she be in the Mandalorian category? StarNeptuneTalk to me! 13:38, 1 September 2006 (UTC)
- In the book she wears Mandalorian armor and plus her father, grandfather, and greatgrandfather were or is a Mandalorian so I would say yes. Jaina SoloGoddess Stuff

- Mandalorian isn't so much a race as a culture. As a result of her marriage to Ghes Orade, id say she is classified as Mando.--76.181.237.136 20:20, 3 June 2009 (UTC)Irishhitman5

In Bloodlines it says that she was married, shouldn't that be put into the article. Jaina SoloGoddess Stuff 00:13, 13 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Future is Known?
- Mirta has a relationship with Ghes Orade, right?
Orade as a young'un.
Which looks like a younger version of this man:
Notice not only the similar haircut, but also the beard and a broken nose, like the elder Orade is described as having.
Could not the dark-haired woman be.....Mirta?
Hmmm...
(Can't take full credit for theory, it's one of McEwok's...and unlike the rest of his theories, this one is very, very plausible. QuentinGeorge 11:44, 6 June 2007 (UTC)
- I have to agree. It seems very plausible. —Grand Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision)
13:14, 6 June 2007 (UTC)
- One discrepency, though: Mirta has Curly hair when described in Bloodlines. this mandalorian has straight hair. However, it is possible that the straight-rather-than-curly hair was a miscommunication error, given the other similarities.--75.48.6.240 04:42, 9 July 2007 (UTC)
- That, or she simply straightened out her hair. ;) —Grand Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision)

- I got another one. The would-be Orade has reddish/orange-ish hair, but in both Bloodlines and Sacrifice he's said to be blond. His nose doesn't look broken on that picture, either and, Mirta's too beautiful, she's said to be (below?) average-looking, IIRC. I'm gonna ask around in Traviss's Yahoo group. ~ Tracyn (Talk)

- If ye would watch The Twilight Zone, ye would know that beauty lies in the eye of the beholder ;) Chiaman2800 22:45, 20 December 2007 (UTC)
- Since the new figs were released by Entertainment Earth, and the armor color was based on this pic, I always figured that the people in question were supposed to be Dred Priest and Isabet Reau. However, the only problem with that is Dred Priest's figure doesn't have blond hair. — Sadriel Fett
(Mando'a) (Bounties) 14:28, 5 September 2007 (UTC)
- Yeah, but the illustration wasn't made for the figures, the figures were made in credit to the illustration, mainly because they couldn't come up with their own kriffin color scheme. ~ Tracyn (Talk)

- I don't think it's fair to say definitively that this guy's hair color is not blonde. I don't think its a hard stretch to interpret that as a reasonable color, particularly considering the abundance of yellow in this picture. I believe it is a reasonable interpretation of blonde. The argument for this case is more extensive than that. You know that Mirta wears Yellow armor. This is described in Revelation. Orade is also described in Revelation as having a beard - and I thought somewhere in the series, it is noted that he wears Red Armor. Also consider the following excerpt from page 395 of Revelation that describes Mirta on her wedding day: "Mirta had a few wild flowers twisted in her hair, but she was still in yellow battle armor." It seems highly unlikely to me that this is merely a coincidence. Has anyone ever heard from Traviss on this? ~ TB9243

- Nothing that I've heard. Perhaps she added that in the book in homage to this pic? It was originally one of the pics in the article she did for the Star Wars Insider for the Mandalorians Culture and People. Maybe this is the image she was hoping fans would think of when they pictured the wedding in their heads while reading the book? If so, I think it worked pretty well, don't you? ;-) Sadriel Fett 03:13, 28 February 2008 (UTC)
- Actually I can confirm that the Mandalorian Wedding image is indeed Mirta and Ghes. I was communicating with Karen Traviss in March via email regarding Mirta and was asking about the image. I had the creation date of the image incorrect in my notes, and she corrected me stating: "Tom Hodges' Insider wedding illustration - which isn't 1995, but 2005/ 2006, from my Mandalorian culture feature - is Mirta and Ghes." Scruffyrebel 18:25, 31 May 2008 (UTC)
- And the Complete Star Wars Encyclopedia confirms this. -- Riffsyphon1024 12:27, 20 December 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Age
I'm going to put that she was in her mid twenties during the Confederation-Galactic Alliance war, any objections? Luckyluke37 21:58, 8 April 2008 (UTC)
-Agreed , the first paragraph of the page states she was approx 18 years old during the Confederation-Alliance war , however late it says she was in her mid-twenties in 40ABY , didn't the Confederation-Alliance war begin in 40ABY? So it's a bit contradictory at the moment.Vexed123 19:59, 12 June 2008 (UTC)vexed123 , 20.50pm [GMT] June 12th 2008.
- I also agree, although in Bloodlines, I think it is, Boba Fett said she looked to be around 18, but was likely older. Jaina Leia MaraJedi Knight
[edit] Paralyzed
I don't remember Mirta getting ever recovering from her palatalization and escaping from the ship. I do remember Jaina giving her a blaster and expecting her to end her own life. Can someone please help me out here with the page in Invincible? Owoz 09:34, 6 May 2009 (UTC)
It was stated in the book that it was possible to correct her paralysis through a specific medical technique. Caedus had mentioned the possibility through his inner monologue. cant pin the page down. sorry. Can only assume that as there is a means to fix it, she would be fixed. Also, after the ship was taken, they would have found Mirta. She was given the blaster to protect herself, not end her life. Unfortunately for Jaina she used it to kill the prisoners detained in her room. --76.181.237.136 20:15, 3 June 2009 (UTC)Irishhitman5
[edit] So....
So do we know if Mirta will show up in any future novels or if she regained the ability to walk?
[edit] Addressing Boba
What does she adress Boba Fett as? Grandpa, Grandfather, Boba, Boba Fett, Fett, Mandalore?
