Isn't this supposed to be placed BEFORE Jedi Outcast actual events, rather than after? —Unsigned comment by 83.18.142.250 (talk • contribs).

Someone, possibly me, also asked that here. I vaguely remember getting the impression from the Empire Reborn article that the mission was placed arbitrarily, but I don't remember checking the relevant The Dark Forces Saga article to clarify, so I'm not sure. --Andrew Nagy 16:49, 15 November 2007 (UTC)

Except if it's before the full game, why does Kyle Katarn have a lightsaber in the demo? Afterall, he only regained his lightsaber during the full game. If it is before, it needs to significantly earlier as Luke has had his LS for a while. My understanding is that there is no official placement of the demo before or after the full game. The only dating is in the opening crawl which gives 8 ABY in both. --Eyrezer 07:04, 16 November 2007 (UTC)

Back when I played the demo, I just considered the lightsaber non-canon; it can be beaten without it even on the hardest setting. But I don't really have a good argument for doing that here, and I haven't played the rest of JO to confirm that it fits.
