CUSWE search turns up nothing for this. Its article on the "Power 5" (mentioned here) does reference other blasters, however, including the Flash 4 and Flash 5 pistols - Kwenn 19:49, 6 April 2006 (UTC)
- The source has now been listed as the Parts of Star Wars website. Yes, it's on there, but that site is not official. Still need an official source for this - Kwenn 20:01, 6 April 2006 (UTC)
- I'm having trouble finding anything official on this, but it is definitely in the movies in the places I listed in the article. I'm going now to check my library of RPG books in hopes of finding something. --Thorvindr 05:09, 7 April 2006 (UTC)
- I'm also e-mailing the guy who runs the "Parts" website to see where he got the name for the weapon. --Thorvindr 05:39, 7 April 2006 (UTC)
- Okay. I got an e-mail back from the "Parts of Star Wars" guy, and he said he got the name of the weapon from an older RPG book. So, I'll be taking a trip to my local occult (or "RPG") bookstore in the next week or so to check that out.--Thorvindr 22:07, 7 April 2006 (UTC)
I have issues with this page. I think some info on the Power 5 and the Model 44 has gotten mixed up, and now both articles are in error. Feel free to look up my comments on the Power 5 page. Cozmo 03:13, May 27, 2010 (UTC)
Story Behind Source Pic?
Edit
Looking at the picture featured on this page, it is obvious that this was a rubber prop gun that the barrel snapped off. I have seen other media, I believe cover art for a paperback SW book or one of the early edition cards in the CCG, that indicate this was a legitimate weapon model dating back at least 15 years or so...
Whether the "model 44" spawned from a broken prop that was used anyway or the story about a "hacked off barrel" corresponding to an actual separate prop blaster is correct, it should probably be expanded on.
