Mount[]

MT stands for Mount. Just call the page Mount Tantiss. You don't see a soldier listed as SGT Jimbob and go 'oh, we have no idea what rank this person is'. Ømn1 (talk) 15:47, 16 August 2021 (UTC)

  • Unfortunately there is no source for the name "Mount Tantiss." Similar to the One-Eighty-Fourth Attack Battalion and the 212th Attack Battalion, we can't change the title 184th Attack Battalion. --Vitus InfinitusTalk 16:15, 16 August 2021 (UTC)
    • The naming policy says to avoid abbreviations and I think we can assume 'Mt' is the irl abbreviation for 'Mount' especially given that it is a mountain and is clearly a reference to the EU Mount Tantiss. Also I couldn't find anything that specifies whether you should spell out numbers in titles, and given that droids for example aren't spelled out in their titles I would say that the same should probably apply to most other instances of spelled out letters/numbers. It's not like the existence of the word 'eighteen' in a Star Wars novel should make us question whether the two numerical symbols combined to make '18' exist in universe.Cake (talk) 20:38, 16 August 2021 (UTC)
    • ..But there is. 'Mt' stands for Mount, and frankly, not changing One-Eighty-Fourth Attack Battalion is also incredibly silly, so it's not a good example to base things off of. Ømn1 (talk) 19:43, 16 August 2021 (UTC)
      • If we're going down this rabbithole, let me just point out that there is no source calling this place "Mt Tantiss" either. The concept art only calls it "weylandMtTantiss". Adding spaces and removing 7 letters is entirely conjecture.ZapikCZ (talk) 20:08, 16 August 2021 (UTC)

"Weyland"[]

I think everyone familiar with Wayland in Legends considers "Weyland" a misspelling. However, I think this article should continue to use the spelling "Weyland" because that's how it is spelled in the "Kamino Lost" episode guide. That might change at some point, but for now I think we should treat "Weyland" as an obvious reference to Wayland but retain the "e" spelling in this article. -- YakovChaimTzvi ChissAscendancyCanonSymbol (talk) 23:18, 16 August 2021 (UTC)
