I think whether one spelling can be considered "correct" would depend on whether the planet was originally named Myrkr by Basic speakers, or if the name was transliterated from another language. Maybe the NJO writers switched to Myrkyr just to have a more pronouncable transliteration for the same name? 68.44.13.236 07:15, 9 May 2007 (UTC)

  • In The Joiner King it's spelt Myrkr so that's probably still the intended spelling.

In Icelandic the word is Myrkur. They could have taken that into account instead of old-norse. Surely it's Myrkr. SarimThiri 23:20, 9 January 2008 (UTC)
