Unknown Regions?[]

Marvel comics claim that the Nagai and Tof come from another galaxy, ¿does any of the newer "higher canon" sources change this to the UR? Anyway in case it's no longer canon, I think it's something worth mentioning in the behind the scenes section. Bodo-Baas 18:11, 4 May 2006 (UTC)

i was led to beleive that they came from a dwarf galaxy in decaying orbit around the galaxy much like the rishi maze Unsigned comment by 68.43.176.211 (talk • contribs).

  • Currently, yes, it was retconned to the Unknown Regions. However, there is some speculation that a dwarf galaxy like the Rishi Maze may indeed be their origin, and that that that galaxy is considered part of the Unknown Regions. This has not been in any way confirmed yet, though. jSarek 08:10, 17 May 2006 (UTC)

If they were from the Unknown Regions, they cannot have been much of a threat to anyone, since the Chiss don't even think them worth to mention. Also, I find it hard to believe that two civilisations ( the Nagai and the Tof), each of them great and advanced enough to threaten the united forces of the galaxy, just co-existed peacefully with the Chiss for thousands of years. It would be more credible to just let them be extragalactic. But then, of course, you wonder why they didn't run afoul of the Yuuzhan Vong... There doesn't seem to be room for the Nagai anywhere in the continuity. Custodes 13:40, 31 May 2006 (UTC)

  • And yet, nevertheless, they are. :) Thanos6 02:30, 8 June 2006 (UTC)
    • Only in "large square peg ruthlessly hammered into a very small round hole" sort of way. Personally, I'd be happier if material which initially appeared only in Marvel comics produced between RotJ and the Thrawn trilogy had been quietly disowned during the 1990s. • I'm a bit late to this thread, but the Nagai were first retconned to be from the Unknown Regions, but then in the New Essential Chronology, it says they are from a dwarf galaxy/satellite galaxy. I think that is the latest word on their origin. Maybe we'll have more info on this when the Essential Atlas arrives? --JMM 14:41, 10 November 2008 (UTC)
      • correct me if im wrong but arent the dwarf satellite galaxies technically part of the galaxy.

Contradictions[]

The article mentiones they have been part of the Old Republic, however it later says they were unknown until 4 ABY. Also, if they were extragalactic, they can't be near-humans, only humanoids. 01:31, 15 July 2006 (UTC)

  • It mentions that individuals have been part of the Old Republic, not the species as a political group in any way. In that sense it is correct in what it currently says. I'm going to remove the contradictory tag. --Eyrezer 07:26, 15 July 2006 (UTC)
    • Any source say one way or the other about them being Near-Human? jSarek 08:34, 19 March 2009 (UTC)
      • Duh, I guess the existence of Bey proves it. jSarek 09:13, 19 March 2009 (UTC)

Was the liberation of Nagi further discussed?[]

It would be worth noting in the article, which is rather short. And is it worth noting that the Nagai and Mandalorians share similar ideals? Unsigned comment by Allurade Dendra (talk • contribs).

Sourcebooks[]

Where in "The Truce at Bakura Sourcebook" and "Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game, Second Edition, Revised and Expanded" were the Nagai mentioned please??? -- Frank V Bonura 12:34, March 16, 2012 (UTC)

  • In Truce, the Nagai are very briefly mentioned on page 146. The start of Chapter Thirteen: Adventures in the Alliance of Free Planets. --JMM 13:49, March 16, 2012 (UTC)

chiss relation?[]

I believe that the essential atlas mentions they are possibly related to the chiss . . . I am not sure though ralok (talk) 20:53, August 15, 2012 (UTC)
