I'm confused! SOMEONE FREAKING ANSWER THIS![]
Its says that Nar Shaddaa became an ecumenopolis in 24,500 BBY. But it says the Hutts didn't conquer Evocar until 15,000 BBY. I thought Nar Shaddaa become an ecumenopolis once the Hutts took control of Evocar, so why does it say Nar Shaddaa became an ecumenopolis 9,500 years earlier? From the sounds of things, the Evocii didn't have the technology to create an ecumenopolis on there own and I doubt people would randomly create an civilization on a moon and just completely ignore the planet it orbits (unless the planet is a gas giant or has an toxic atmosphere).
Anyone ever going to answer this?
- Nar Shaddaa becomeing a planet wide city in 15,000 BBY is Non Cannon and it began to be built in 25,000 BBY just as Nal Hutta was terraformed. Fore five hundred years the Evocii were enslaved to build the citys of Nar Shaddaa until at last the moom was complete in 24,500 BBY. The natural resaurces of Nar Shaddaa were the matalic minerals of the origanal terrane.

Gravity[]
How do you explain that it appears to have normal gravity but it's only the moon of a normal-sized world?
- We're talking about a universe with easily available FTL Travel, human level intelligence droids and a planet destroying super weapon on every corner and you're bothering to worry about gravity on a moon? Suspend just a bit of disbelief here. Oh, and to answer your question: Artificial gravity is everywhere. It's small enough to fit in a starfighter (inertial compensator) and reliable enough that it's used in almost every installation ever mentioned (exception: Centerpoint Station) It doesn't stretch the boundary of belief that it is commonly used to make otherwise inhabitable moons livable.--204.76.128.217 05:35, 23 July 2006 (UTC)

- Right. A planet's size doesn't necessarily correlate with its gravity, all that matters is its mass. Perhaps Nar Shaddaa is extremely dense. Or perhaps it is all artificial gravity. What I want to know is, how can there only be 72-95 billion people on Nar Shaddaa, even if it is only a small moon? In Jedi Knight 2, do we know if the the label "The Vertical City" is a nickname for the planet (like "Smuggler's Moon") or if it is the actual city's name? Either way, I don't believe it's mentioned in the article yet. -BaronGrackle 10:08, 28 June 2006 (UTC)

What, no mention of the fact that during it's original incarnations in Dark Forces and Jedi Knight, Nar Shaddaa was obviously an unusually large space station complex with an external atmosphere?
Given that if you jumped or fell off the platforms you did not hit the ground but fell into space...

- Er... what? Never did you fall into space on Nar Shaddaa. There was always a ground, or the screen simply blacked out before you got there. Generally, turning God mode on would let you fall to the bottom of a pit and die, or blackout if that is what was scripted. Dark Forces is different due to Engine limitations, and in Dakr Forces it is also called a moon, and never mentioned as a space port. The Ergo and Cal-Seti levels however were simply spaceports. Well, Seti was a spaceport on a planet actually. Also the Dark Forces Novellas, released very soon after the games, went into some detail about the surface anyways.
