I have already established a Coruscant-class Heavy Courier page. Should this article focus on the role and history of the Nebulon Ranger rather that the description of its class. We already have two articles explaining the description. One is enough! This article also needs a picture to improve its quality.

Armament - number of torp/concussion launchers Edit

There seems to be contradicting information on how many missile weapons the Ranger has. The original Essential Guide to Vehicle and Vessels said that EACH forward mandible (of which there are two) had two torpedo launchers and a concussion sphere launcher (6 torps per pair of launchers and eight concussion spheres per single launcher). That'd give the Ranger four torp launchers and two concussion sphere launchers. Yet, strangely, I've never seen these numbers anywhere else. Can anyone provide some insight?

I am very confused the Essential Guide to Vehicales and vessels does indeed give these armament stats more over the page for the coruscant-class Heavy courier claims and the guide confirms that the Ranger is a modified coruscant-class Heavt courier made by Corellia StarDrive not Krasten Shipyards modle Crescent-X9. Also in the novels at least one line about the pulse laser that i remember for sure, i'll go back and try to find the novel it was in and and more information. I understand that Power of the Jedi Sourcebook gives differnt stats but the ones in the Essential Guide are backed up by story and picture. Hopefully someone can figure this canon issue up. -You're not the only one confused, and the Essential Gudie to Vehicles and Vessels is not the only source to list the Ranger as a Corellia StarDrive Coruscant-class Heavy Courier. The Tales of the Jedi Companion also lists it as such. And it's not said to be modified in either source. It's not until the Power of the Jedi Sourcebook that it's said to be a modified Karsten Shipyards Crescent-X9. I wonder if that was actually Ulic's ship during the Great Sith War and not the Ranger. -annonymous, 3/17/2010 11:35 PM
