Accodring to what I have read the Provisional Council was replaced by the New Republic Senate in 7 ABY, yet in the Thrawn trilogy whcih takes place in 9 ABY the Council still in existance.

• I believe the Council is still around until Dark Empire (10 ABY), as the Councillors sign the Declaration of War against the resucitated Empire. I believe the Council is dissolved 11-12 ABY, before the Jedi Academy Trilogy begins, when the Senate is reformed. They may have coexisted for a while?JustinGann 13:29, 26 September 2007 (UTC)
