- That wasn't really spam, it was more of an unprofessional/indirect way for him to ask for someone to upload a picture. Just clarifying.Heavy Metal Is The Law 22:35, 6 May 2008 (UTC)
Gruk'ti
Edit
The supposedly notable Noghri Gruk'ti was added to this list (see here for history) by an anon. It's been a redlink since December 2006 and I can't find ANYTHING about this character. I'm going to assume it's fanon and delete it. If anybody DOES know anything, please make a stub about it and replace it on the list. Otherwise, it's now gone and that's why. Vader meeting
Edit
is vaders first meeting with the noghri chronicled in novel form? I imagine they killed some of his best stormtroopers and impressed vader. Izquierdista 18:00, 28 June 2008 (UTC)
Sith?
Edit
As far as I can tell, all sources mentioning the Sith were published after Heir to the Empire. How then can Zahn have intended the noghri to be the Sith? Did I miss something? Where the Sith a part of the Star Wars Universe as early as 1991? {{SUBST:User:Xavius/Signature}} 15:02, 17 October 2008 (UTC)
Reread your ANH novelization. Vader is specifically referred to as a Dark Lord Of The Sith in it. ;)
Medstar I
Edit
In MedStar I: Battle Surgeons the Sakiyan Tarnese Bleyd said he had hunted Noghri. Were they discovered before Vader found them? --Timballist0 10:15, 19 April 2009 (UTC)
- yes, there was a battle of Honoghr during the Clone Wars, so I assume that they knew about the Noghri if they had discovered the planet--DarthPhane 18:26, 28 May 2009 (UTC)
Wrong picture
Edit
The main picture looks to be a transdoshan. The reptile mouth, feet, and hands. Along with the gray/green not gray/blue skin are more of a transdoshan characteristics than a noghri's. —Unsigned comment by 76.23.8.145 (talk • contribs).
- However, this is how Noghri look like. MauserComlink 22:13, October 16, 2009 (UTC)
- Funny thing, though. In the Thrawn trilogy, the Noghri are described as being slender, but with defined muscle. But all the official art shows them as bulky and squat. That just doesn't match up. Especially with how they're described in terms that are positively feline. --Genowhirl 04:49, September 7, 2010 (UTC)
- The best picture by those considerations is this one. Slender bodies and the one on the left looks distinctly feline. —fodigg

- Look at Khabarakh. Lower-right hand corner. Whoever did that face should be kicked in the rear, but the body and claws actually look about right. Or, a quick check on Deviant Art...http://fc03.deviantart.net/fs7/i/2005/241/c/0/Hisan_Jedi_by_turin_the_forsaken.jpg. Also, Noghri Jedi. That's a scary thought. --Genowhirl 05:08, September 8, 2010 (UTC)
- Also, I wasn't very clear on the feline bit; my bad. The noghri are described as gray-skinned, with children being a lighter gray and elderly adults being a much darker gray. They have mewling voices, and move with extreme silence and fluidity, and it keeps bringing up they're slender, but have defined muscles that shift some. If you want a visual for that, look at your forearm near the elbow and waggle all your fingers for a for seconds. Those terms add up to an image of feline strength, speed, and grace. Think about how a house cat can jump onto a counter or to the top of a refrigerator. So the official faces aren't bad. But the official art shows them as just so darn bulky. The Noghri are practically an entire species of born ninjas, they shouldn't be burly. I don't care if a young adult member of the species DID manage to hold back Chewbacca's grip for a few seconds. --Genowhirl 06:57, September 8, 2010 (UTC)

Height
Edit
The article here on wookieepedia states that the average height of a noghri is 1.4 to 1.7 meters. In the two other articles concerning noghri that I've checked (The Ultimate Alien Anthology for Star Wars D20 and Rise of the Empire for Star Wars D6) it says that the average height is 1.3 meters. Anyone who knows which is correct?
Classification
Edit
I've been having some trouble trying to determine what type of creature the Noghri are. It's not mentioned in the article other than in the categories link, where they are listed as mammalian. In pretty much all the images I've seen of them, however, they appear to be a reptilian species. What is the source for their mammalian classification and should it be included in the Biology and Appearance section of the article?Grand Moff Elvin 11:03, August 17, 2010 (UTC)
- The original Thrawn trilogy mentioned a matriarch had breasts--small, but they were there. Hence, mammals. The official art gives them all those big brow ridges and all. If you want chapter and verse, I'd have to dig the book and relevant passage out. --Genowhirl 04:49, September 7, 2010 (UTC)
