Talk:Nomad City
Back to page
It's been years since I read the Thrawn trilogy, but isn't Nomad city an old Dreadnaught heavy cruiser that walks on the surface of Nkllon on top of 40 AT-ATs? And didn't Thrawn raid Nomad city for its mole miners, not its resources and credits? JimRaynor55 19:05, 24 Jun 2005 (UTC)
- Dunno about it being a Dreadnaught, but it definately doesn't orbit the planet. And yes, Thrawn attacks Nkklon for its mole miners, not creds or resources. And Nomad City isn't destroyed after the attack, since Lando and co return to the city - Kwenn
- Aye, Nomad City is the Dreadnaught cruiser on top of 40 AT-ATs. --Imp 19:19, 24 Jun 2005 (UTC)
- I know this is an old conversation, but I thought it was both. First he attacks for mole miners in Heir to the Empire. Than in The Last Command he attacks again for some metal Lando was mining, or something. Garm Bel Iblis evacuates the people, but they can't get a ship in to get it moving again before the sunrise, because of the crisis. Than it melts, I think. I'll go look that up and update the article-LtNOWIS 06:04, 12 Jul 2005 (UTC)
Jedi academy trilogy
Edit
it is mentioned there that Nomad City was repaired by New Republic and Lando lost it in Sabacc game
Agreed - there was nothing in TLC that states that Drayson wouldn't give Lando a starcruiser to evacuate the miners. And there's certainly no evidence that Nomad City is destroyed. For all we know, the umbrella ships used to guide in vessels could be reconfigured to provide shelter from Nkllon's star.
