My fanon-sense is tingling. Some of these names don't seem to fit (particularly Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon, but also Roan). Can anyone confirm or disconfirm these? And include Ref tags? Gonk ^(Gonk!) 19:54, 13 July 2007 (UTC)

Roan is for sure, it was in Dark Lord: The Rise of Darth Vader that the Old Guard was first mentioned and it was referring to Roan. I'm not sure about Obi-Wan or Qui-Gon though I seem to remember the passage in Dark Lord referencing Qui-Gon. Not sure about those two though. Shryne 20:25, 13 July 2007 (UTC)

2009-04-21 I'm reading Dark Lord Rise of Darth Vader right now. I have the passage open and the following names are mentioned:

• Obi-Wan
• Shryne
• Dooku
• Qui-Gon
• Sifo-Dyas
• Mace Windu
• "and others"

The point of the passage seems to be to make Shryne an impressive opponent for Vader to tackle, as he's "reading up" on Shryne before hunting him down. I didn't recognize the term "old guard" from any other fiction, so I came here to look it up. I also edited the members list with the above names and added a brief quote to denote that the group didn't seem to exist in any official capacity.
