Order 66[]

Title CHange - needs to be renamed Order 66 Unsigned comment by 81.157.130.28 (talk • contribs).

  • Really? What's your source for this? --Imperialles 22:07, 26 October 2007 (UTC)
    • Never mind, found it. --Imperialles 22:10, 26 October 2007 (UTC)

Huh?[]

How can it proceed Jedi Healer if its called Order 66? Jedi Healer takes place 20 months after the Battle of Geonosis, thus...i mean, IDK, but it seems like this would not be accurate...? Unsigned comment by 74.236.20.6 (talk • contribs).

  • It doesn't make sense. The MedStar books take place around 20 BBY, and Palpatine activates Order 66 a year later in 19 BBY, so if the book is about Order 66, it can't be followed by Battle Surgeons, because the events in Battle Surgeons take place before Order 66. I'm going to go and remove the "Followed by Battle Surgeons" thing. 141.154.149.58 00:51, 13 November 2007 (UTC)
    • Perhaps it's not exactly about Order 66 being executed, but about the Skirata/Vau/Etain/Jusik collective family learning about it being introduced. Jack-118 03:43, 13 November 2007 (UTC)
      • The MedStar timeline placement goes back to February, before we learned about the title of the book. I'd say it's safe to remove it. -LtNOWIS 04:13, 13 November 2007 (UTC)
  • Per Darth Bassan. If it's unsourced, however, remove it with vengeance. Hobbes15(Tiger Headquarters) 03:54, 16 November 2007 (UTC)

A Republic Commando Novel[]

Do we know the title is this, instead of the "Republic Commando: [Titile]" that the other three had? Aeods 20:46, 30 November 2007 (UTC)

  • This is the title it's listed under on Amazon.ca. --Imperialles 21:05, 30 November 2007 (UTC)

New Cover[]

Why replace the existing image? Someone, please re-upload the origimal cover in high resolution and add it to the gallery section. If not, I'll do it myself eventually. Mauser 08:04, 16 July 2008 (UTC)

  • I definitely liked the original cover art better and am unsure as to why they changed it. The new one comes off as a comic book cover, which is not the demeanor the previous books have held.

Tmanarl 20:41, 17 July 2008 (UTC)Tmanarl

    • I agree. I HATE the new cover. I like the original cover WAY more. It looks like a young adult novel, or comic book more than anything. They REALLY shouldn't have changed it. --The Wolfe22 01:40, 21 July 2008 (UTC)
      • I'm almost certain they changed it because of similiarities with Clone Wars (novel) Mauser 01:59, 21 July 2008 (UTC)
        • Urgh, still, ANYTHING is better than that cover they've given it now. With Order 66 at an angle and the font used it just feels incredibly tacky for such a powerful and serious series. 122.106.207.141 11:45, 29 July 2008 (UTC)
          • I wouldn't worry about that, normally, yes, normally, with a hard cover book you can just take the picture off :D RC-1136 Copy 17:39, 31 July 2008 (UTC) yeah the old cover looks so much more realistic. the new one looks like some cartoon rip-off book--from teh same writer of the europe article
  • The new cover looks bad put the old one on i think you can see Mustafar in the Clone Commando's visor.Sith-venator4:48 9-10-08
    • I believe it is actually the Jedi Temple burning, but I may be wrong. Also, I think they may change the cover back to the original for the paperback release. Two more days! Karmic Heresy 17:57, 17 May 2009 (UTC)
      • I saw it in a store earlier this week - didn't realize it wasn't supposed to be out yet - and I'm pretty sure it was still the same cover. —Xwing328(Talk) 20:27, 17 May 2009 (UTC)

Why would they change the original cover!! It looked sooo much cooler! How you can see Mustafar in his visor the new one just looks like a comic book cover!--RC-1207 "Sev" 14:37, 8 June 2009 (UTC)

Just confirming, is there no version with the original artwork? Some retailers even show the original cover, which is quite misleading. 69.154.111.248 06:56, 20 June 2009 (UTC)

its already come out in europe[]

just fur ur info im an american who traveled to europe for my summer vacation and in a german bookstore, i saw the book order 66. its already come out there. thought u guys might wanna know taht. sorry i got no sources except myself

-Hi, I thought i'd point out that, The official site, Play.com and Waterstones website all list this book as future release in september, but Amazon.co.uk have it to purchase now(and i have ordered it) but with a "will be posted in 9-12 days" line. Yet to know if its been dispatched or processed yet.

I got the book earlier today and read it in one go, are we clear to edit yet or not? Almar Zamasee 22:56, 10 September 2008 (UTC)

I already put in some spoilers from the people who got early copies, so if you already read the book, feel free to add whatever you feel necessary. Mauser 23:13, 10 September 2008 (UTC)

Soooo..when are we going to see some more spoilers?Jedi Xian 03:09, 21 October 2008 (UTC)

Mistakes in Novel[]

I've noticed a few mistakes in the novel so far: 1) Error: Boss is mistakenly refered to as Niner. In Chapter 6 page 140 in the 2nd paragraph after spotting Omega Squad, Scorch and Fixer head off to the mess hall to meet Boss and Sev. When Scorch is looking around the mess hall at all the armor colors, he looked around for a splash of red and orange; which would be Sev and Boss' colors, but Sev and Niner are mentioned instead. 2) Continuity error in the novel. In the novel, the Intel Agent that followed Besany and was killed by Ordo which following that Ordo married Besany that night, happened 737 days ABG; but Kal when he was reading his comlink messages while waiting for Mereel to return from the confectionary store read a message that Ordo 'disposed of a Rep Intel agent tonight that was following Besany and that he married her.' According to the novel Kal read this 6 months after the incedent 937 days ABG. Was this just a mistake by the Author, by placing the story in the wrong part; because I find it hard to belive that Ordo would wait 6 months to tell his buir that he got married. • Yea there are mistakes in mine. In my Dramatis Personae, Etain is introduced as male. (Dtlwarrior 05:47, 1 October 2008 (UTC))
    • Haha, yeah, it definitely says Etain and Jilka are males. —Xwing328(Talk) 04:25, 2 October 2008 (UTC)
      • As a general rule, most of Karen Traviss' books contradict either themselves and/or pre-existing sources. It is the way of the galaxy. Xanofar 02:21, 13 February 2009 (UTC)
        • Actually that was a typo the new edition with crappy cover fixes that--DarmanRC1136 17:15, 3 July 2009 (UTC)

Order 66 book - RC game?[]

So, does this cover the rescue of Tarfful and the disappearance of Sev that was in the RC game? --The Wolfe22 23:09, 10 October 2008 (UTC)

  • Yes the novel does cover both. The rescure of Tarful is mentioned by Delta Squad; and Sec's disappearance is covered. Although the events of his disappearance are a little different than the game. For example: Sev was the first member of the squad to take control of a turret in the game; instead he was still with Boss after Scorch and Fixer took their's. Also where the squad met up was different in the novel vis the game (Boss's turret in the game; in a seperate area altogether because of the falling Sep cruiser). Deanscotsmen022 04:43, 11 October 2008 (UTC)
    • K, thanks. --The Wolfe22 21:50, 13 October 2008 (UTC)
      • Leave it to K. Traviss to contradict another source to her liking. It always bugged me that she took the humor out of Scorch. I'd like to consider the game more canon than Traviss' half-efforts (or intentional contradictions), but that's just my opinion... Xanofar 02:24, 13 February 2009 (UTC)
        • ALso, there Delta's Clone Advisor is not in any of the books. And when Sev is screaming for help the advisor's role is replaced with a Jedi Master.

New Ending[]

wish there was a new ending..this one SUCKS! Unsigned comment by Hornet72 (talk • contribs).

  • I agree, but this is the wrong place for your statement, 'anonymous'. Xanofar 02:22, 13 February 2009 (UTC)

Where is the place to discuss it? because it does suck? Sainz 17:00, 16 August 2009 (UTC)

In the Discussion section, obviously. SenatorConfer (talk) 01:46, July 17, 2017 (UTC)

Clean-Up[]

Anyone mind if I go about cleaning up this article a bit? A lot of run on sentences, references to King of Mandalore, etc.StavesAndSabers 19:12, 8 April 2009 (UTC)

Rough adjustments made. Mostly split up large run-on sentences and huge blocks of text. There's still a lot of needless info in the article itself, but this should make it easier to edit for content.StavesAndSabers 19:31, 10 April 2009 (UTC)

Nek Pup?[]

This might be a ridiculously dumb question on my part, and if so I apologize, but what is the Nek Pup that it keeps referring to?Darthkam 21:06, 12 June 2009 (UTC)

Original cover[]

Is there any truth to the rumor going around that the paperback originally released in the UK had the original cover art? Peregrin Alexander 09:47, 14 July 2009 (UTC)

  • The paperbacks I've seen in Waterstones have the new cover (see here [1]), but I've seen people claiming to have the original. I think there may have been two paperbacks, a UK one from Orbit and an international one from Del Rey. Confusing. Nick Fel 12:28, 14 July 2009 (UTC)

Valorum Center[]

Do we know who the sane mind is that Jusik sensed in both of his walk-throughs in the Valorum Center? I know that it's a bit late, but I finally remembered to type it up. FettClone1 06:33, September 26, 2009 (UTC)

it was not revealed in the novel but the strange language speaker (a difrent person) is arla fett, we may find out later however should keep an eye out for it. JediShifty 03:02, October 12, 2009 (UTC)

Agreed. FettClone1 19:26, December 18, 2009 (UTC)

Not able to stand the suspense, I decided to get the truth from God's own mouth, as it were, and she wrote back saying it was just "a prisoner who wasn't insane and shouldn't have been a secure unit. He or she was held there for reasons we'll never know. And the cell number (7885) has no significance; cells just have to have numbers to make the dialogue sound natural." Anonymous 08:00, August 18, 2010 (PMT)

Did it seem like there was any intention of her expanding the character? --VhettSkirata Mando'ade 00:15, March 4, 2013 (UTC)

Red links[]

I count twelve. Is it okay to take down the red linnks banner at the top or does that still count as "excessive"? Moon Demon 02:36, January 29, 2010 (UTC)

  • The standard is no more than five. The template shouldn't be removed as long as there's more than five redlinks. —Master Jonathan(Jedi Council Chambers) 02:40, January 29, 2010 (UTC)

Reproduction[]

It says that Twi'leks and humans can't interbreed, but in the episode of the Clone Wars: Season two with Cut Lawquane, his wife had already had human-Twi'lek kids. Anybody else notice this? --Avmatoran 21:17, February 25, 2011 (UTC)
