    • I just finished reading The Crystal Star and yes Waru is from another universe but the novel does not specify which universe that is. Waru had to rip a path through space-time to get back to his home. [checks Otherspace] "Otherspace" says that the dimension is located between realspace and hyperspace. I see nothing in either book that would suggest they are the same and do see several indications they are very different. I strongly suspect, by my recent readings, they are two completely different places. Of course some new book can come out next month and prove me wrong (wouldn't be the first time). I have never understood the incessant need for STAR WARS authors to link and associate elements of the expanded universe with other elements that don't necessarily need linking or association. I think SW fans can handle any number of alternate realities from which a death cult run by creepy spiders and golden child eating orb can exist and not be from the same place. -- Frank V Bonura - The Bane of Revisionism 19:26, 30 May 2009 (UTC)

Travel again Edit

The topic was brought up before, but was misanswered. I'm also interested in the answer. How do Charon ships travel through Otherspace? Do they just travel slower than c? And somewhat related to the answer that was given to the first topic, is leaving Otherspace as simple as activating a hyperdrive and you appear in realspace?--86.13.179.168 04:29, May 8, 2012 (UTC)

• My apologies, [pulls "Otherspace" adventure from shelf], The Charon Starfighters show a sublight speed of "5D+1" which translates to (100 MGLT) or about the sublight speed of a TIE fighter. These same ships have no stats for a hyperdrive. It is quite clear by evidence of the stats and artwork, Charon Starfighters use a form of reaction drive to propel themselves through the otherspace dimension. The crew of the The Long Shot escape from said ships repairing their hyperspace motivator and jumping into hyperspace. As for leaving Otherspace, it would appear that the crew of The Long Shot Jumped into hyperspace along the opposite entry vector and returned to real space. Essentially they reverse-engineered the blunder that trapped them in the rogue dimension in the first place. The phenomenon appears to only occur at a certain place under the correct conditions and was repeatable as evidenced in "Otherspace II: Invasion". -- Frank V Bonura 13:41, May 10, 2012 (UTC)
