Ep IV appearance
Edit
How do we know from that the YT-2400 appearing in Ep. IV is the Outrider itself and not just any YT-2400 freighter? 62.74.9.180 22:34, 10 Jul 2005 (UTC)
- The databank link says so. -- Silly Dan 22:37, 10 Jul 2005 (UTC)
And so does George Lucas. - Anym
Copyvio problems
Edit
Much of the History section is OK, but the layout and modifications is a straight copy. I've used the introduction and infobox as a start for a replacement article in the temp page. Silly Dan 22:48, 31 May 2005 (UTC)
New Article Started on temp page
- Yes, that's what I said. Silly Dan 01:49, 3 Jun 2005 (UTC)
Propose deleting this page and moving new article written on temp page here.
- You would need to sign such a post, and start the process by adding the {{vfd}} tag to the article, but in this case vfd is not needed, as the copyrighted text can simply be replaced with non-infringing text.--Eion 18:14, 3 Jun 2005 (UTC)
- Anyway, if I understand the copyvio procedure, we're supposed to wait seven days after the initial listing. I think the Outrider/Temp page is OK now, though, and we could move it to the main article page anytime. Silly Dan 20:52, 3 Jun 2005 (UTC)
- I'm unfamiliar with any time constraints, I think if we have a non-infringing version ready, it should be edited in ASAP.--Eion 04:44, 4 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Ep IV Pic
Edit
Can anyone get a screenshot of its appearance in the ANH SE? Kuralyov 20:48, 1 Nov 2005 (UTC)
- There's actually of pic of this screenshot as the main picture on the Mos Eisley article page, if anyone wanted to add it. Here's the link to the image page. http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/File:Mosexpanded3.jpeg — Sadriel Fett

Outrider and rotating swing-arm mechanism (somewhat like the B-Wing fighter?)
Edit
I could not help but notice that the toy model of the Outrider produced for the Shadows of the Empire project has the main hull that separates from port to stern with a rotating swing-arm mechanism (somewhat similar to what the B-Wing does). Images can be found here. The Secrets of Star Wars: Shadows of the Empire book (see pages 196-197) has two sketches of the Outrider spinning in this fashion made by LucasArts conceptual artist Doug Chiang, so this Outrider mechanism was not an invention of Hasbro/Kenner toy company.
What are your thoughts on the Outrider's "pivoting action" (as labelled by Doug Chiang) - should this feature be included in the article or should it be ignored as non-canonical BS? ---- —Unsigned comment by 216.187.83.181 (talk • contribs).
- The Hasbro Outrider toy was based on concept art before the final ship design was established for the video game and Episode IV THX. The weapons mode remains non-canon because the concept was discarded. (And sign your comments with 4 tildes, not 4 dashes, next time;) GethralkinHyperwave 21:07, March 29, 2011 (UTC)
Outrider Stats
Edit
I didn't know if anyone would want to put this up on the site article or not? We were talking about putting something like this up for the Slave 1 article and I found this on the same site while looking for a Slave 1 stats picture. I figured if you wanted to add it, then you could save it to the Wookieepedia images and add it to the article. Sadriel Fett (Mando'a) 04:46, 29 June 2006 (UTC)

- I'd say put them on if there's room.Bredd13 19:54, 6 July 2006 (UTC)
Picture
Edit
Main picture isn't showing up. Bredd13 19:54, 6 July 2006 (UTC)
Might have something to do with it being named Eu_bg.jpg, the same name that all pics are given in the SW Databank.Toasty McGrath 18:46, 15 August 2006 (UTC)
- Replaced it with File:Outrider.jpg. —Silly Dan (talk) 21:37, 15 August 2006 (UTC)
Lego Outrider?
Edit
Should it be mentioned that the Star Destroyer Lego Model's alternate form is the Outrider? I know it probably shouldn't be added but was just wondering.Shifter 23:26, 12 January 2007 (UTC)
appearances-battlegrounds?
Edit
I'm pretty sure it's appearance in Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds is non-canon. I made the change in the article. If it is canon, then obviously it should be changed back. Nyyankees8 17:06, 7 April 2007 (UTC)
Appearance in Star Wars: Bounty Hunter
Edit
The outrider has a very brief appearance in the opening cinematic of the game. When Outland Station first comes into view, the Outrider can be seen flying across the bottom of the screen from left to right, I believe. I believe this should be included in the trivia section. -- Interrupt feed 01:43, 15 April 2007 (UTC)
- Is that the Outrider, or another ship of the same class? —Silly Dan (talk) 02:10, 15 April 2007 (UTC)
- It has the same look as the Outrider. I don't know how to tell if it's the exact same vehicle that Dash flies, though. -- Interrupt feed 02:40, 15 April 2007 (UTC)
The Force Unleashed II
Edit
In the cutscene showing the Attack on Kamino, when several TIE Fighters fly close to the screen, the Outrider, or similar ship, shoots them down.
Boarding Ramp
Edit
Is the boarding ramp on the forward bracing arm, the rear bracing arm, or in between the two arms? It is not clear from the schematics.
