Species?Edit

Apparently, a Star Wars: Galaxies Mon Calamari NPC is named Pashna Starkiller: see [1]. We've got Starkiller listed as Human, though...—Silly Dan (talk) 02:16, 17 August 2006 (UTC)

  • You've got to be kriffin' kidding me. His species was never confirmed, but the fact he seems to have human relatives and the nature of how Mon Cal names are supposed to work should preclude this. Damn you, Galaxies. Alright, what does this NPC say/do? Does it seem like this character is the same as the Grey Cadre Pashna? jSarek 01:02, 4 September 2006 (UTC)
    • He could have been adopted into a human family. That would explain the human name and relatives. Sulgran 01:25, 4 September 2006 (UTC)

Starfighter marshalEdit

Apparently a source cites Starkiller as Marshal of Rebel Starfighter Command. Probably the Rebel Alliance Sourcebook -- can anyone check? Havac 00:25, 15 December 2006 (UTC)

  • I've not found any evidence to that effect. It's probably based on the (unwarranted) assumption that a Marshal has to be related to air warfare, and by extension starfighter combat in SW. jSarek 22:38, 27 March 2007 (UTC)

Pashna the Mon CalEdit

  • I can naught but weep. jSarek 02:43, 2 July 2007 (UTC)
    • Stop weeping and behave like the adult fishes you are supposed to be. Someone must update this article with this new information about this mission Starkiller ordered. Anyone familiar with Galaxies here? - Skippy Farlstendoiro 06:46, 2 July 2007 (UTC)
    • And remember: It could have been much worse. - Skippy Farlstendoiro 06:46, 2 July 2007 (UTC)
      • No, I'm not familiar with Galaxies, and frankly, those are both better than Pashna being made a Mon Cal. jSarek 07:07, 2 July 2007 (UTC)
  • Galaxies also made Zekka Thyne into a bothan. Wookieepedia includes them as separate characters, rather than assuming they are the same person, so perhaps it could be the same case with Pashna.--Tom rules 10:14, 16 April 2008 (UTC)
    • The difference is, Pashna was never explicitly given a species before. - Lord Hydronium 10:15, 16 April 2008 (UTC)

Erm.... Edit

The Rogues Gallery in Star Wars Insider 133 shows a certain "Pashna Starkiller" as a human male rebel commander at the Yavin IV ceremony in Ep 4....and this says that it is a Mon Calamari from SWG...I was just going to add the source and appearance, but woah....--The Lampshade... (talk) 20:41, April 27, 2012 (UTC)Lamp774

  • Heh, sounds about right. As you can see from further up this talk page, some of us weren't too happy with this character being made a Mon Cal in the first place. I'd be happy if not for the fact that him being a Mon Cal didn't *technically* violate continuity, just common sense, while this is an actual continuity violation. :-/ jSarek 01:11, April 28, 2012 (UTC)
    • Do you think they could be two different people? --The Lampshade... (talk) 10:24, April 29, 2012 (UTC)Lamp774
      • I've advocated that position before. My ideal thought is that the Mon Cal is Pashna Starkiller Jr., a cross-species adoptee of the Gray Cadre fellow. At this point, though, any solution other than noting the discrepancy is fanon. jSarek 20:22, April 29, 2012 (UTC)
        • I would discard any info from Galaxies. That's a very unreliable source that should only be used when any other kind of source is missing. --Sompeetalay 23:49, April 29, 2012 (UTC)
          • Reliable or not, it's as canon as any other EU source. When it's possible to preserve information from the game, it should be done, as distasteful as Galaxies's lackadaisical attitude towards canon may have been. jSarek 00:08, April 30, 2012 (UTC)
            • jSarek is correct. We don't get to decide what and what isn't canon, and everything in Galaxies, like anything else in the EU, is canon until proven otherwise. This particular instance, unfortunately, is the "otherwise." Dammit, Leland... Menkooroo 00:58, April 30, 2012 (UTC)
  • Maybe Pashna is a -- Shi'ido!!! Or even a Clawdite! That would explain a lot! Jedancovek 10:17, May 8, 2012 (UTC)
    • Congratulations. I see you have finally changed the article. --Sompeetalay 13:23, May 28, 2012 (UTC)
