Rebel Alliance
Edit
[rant]Umm... Exqueeze me, but it's "the Rebel Alliance." This whole "Alliance to Restore the Republic" nonsense makes me sicker than Gungans on Thursday. Must we really pander to the delusions of a senile old man who hasn't written a decent script since "The Last Crusade?"
Yes. They ARE an alliance, who's goal IS to restore the republic, but that's not their name, and it's not how they refer to themselves. THEY CALL THEMSELVES "The Rebellion" and "The Rebel Alliance." As far as I'm concerned, any work that gives them any other official designation ought not to be considered canon. Of course, if I had my way, Lucas' ghost-writer would still be alive and the prequels would have had decent scripts.[/rant]--Thorvindr 05:13, 21 May 2006 (UTC)
- First off his scripts have been good. Yeah I know the whole Allinance to restore the republic thing is stupid, I mean did they ever refere to them as that in books or movies, and by the way the gungans on Thursday joke is stupid.BobafettH23 15:16, 6 August 2006 (UTC)
- Yes, the A New Hope novellization referred to it as Alliance to Restore the Republic from the very beginning. And that WAS by one of Lucas's ghost-writers, btwJustinGann 12:31, 19 October 2007 (UTC)
Imperial rank
Edit
According to Decipher Star Wars customizable card game (SWCCG), Pol Treidum is a lieutenant.
As he commands Navy troopers deployed on Death Star, we can assume he's also part of Imperial Navy staff placed on Death Star. As a consequence, his black uniform could indiquate that he's an Imperial Navy lieutenant granted with combat, security or technical missions (can be both of last two for Treidum). —Unsigned comment by Geopolis (talk • contribs).
Sideburns
Edit
I hope this doesn't start an edit war but, for what possible reason are Treidum's sideburns discussed in the article? Let alone the other members of the Imperial Armed Services? Flag-Waving American Patriot 19:59, 26 November 2008 (UTC)
