IIRC, Guide to the Grand Army of the Republic gives a specific name for the Lancer trooper's weapon, while the IG Lancer droid's Databank entry names their weapon as a power lance - Kwenn 16:36, 25 February 2006 (UTC)

Energy LanceEdit

First of all, why does "Talk:Energy lance" redirect to "Talk:Power lance?" But besides that, is the Energy lance a ranged weapon, a melee weapon, or both? The picture looks like a melee weapon, like the lance you would expect a medieval knight to carry, but the article seems to describe it as more of a blaster rifle. what was the point Edit

what was the point of that whole part? Aside from the introduction of Durge (which could've been done in any number of ways) that scene was the most useless in the whole series. I personally don't consider it canon.
