[edit] Picture

Apparently, even though this looks like Qu Rahn, the big picture by Joe Corroney is actually a different Jedi named Koffi Arana. See here. QuentinGeorge 04:54, 2 Oct 2005 (UTC)

  • Aww that's a shame... thanks for pointing it out though :-) --Azizlight 07:21, 22 Oct 2005 (UTC)

[edit] We sure he's Socorran?

The Dark Forces Saga says that he speaks, reads and writes Socorran, but that's not proof that he's from Socorro. Any other sources mention Socorro? --Azizlight 03:58, 5 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Lightsaber color

In the article it says Yoda gave him a gold-bladed lightsaber, and in the 'Lightsaber' entry page Rahn is put as an example of Gold lightsaber.

But wasnt Rahn's lightsaber, wich he gave to Morgan Katarn for Kyle, green?. The gold one was 'borrowed' from Yun, as is stated in the article. --Menma Mazar 14:02, 10 October 2006 (UTC)

  • Yeah, Kyle's first saber's green, innit? KEJ 20:50, 10 October 2006 (UTC)
    • I guess it means golden hilted lightsaber MoffRebus 21:41, 10 October 2006 (UTC)
      • Well.... when you say "an X lightsaber" (X being a color term), doesn't it usually refer to the color of the blade? KEJ 21:44, 10 October 2006 (UTC)
  • Rahn's lightsaber had a green blade; the gold saber given to him by Yoda is a different weapon. He gave his trusty green one to Morgan Katarn before confronting Jerec, but lost the gold saber when he was captured. This comes from part 2 of the Dark Forces Saga on WOTC's website. The Adventure Seed in part 5 of the Saga seems to suggest that the lightsaber used by Pic (which looked pretty orange to me) is actually the gold one taken from Rahn. -- SM-716 File:716chiss.gif talk? 04:53, 11 October 2006 (UTC)
  • I don't remember.... does it say anything about him losing the lightsaber in the novellas? KEJ 09:52, 11 October 2006 (UTC)
  • Oh, thanks for the clarification, now i understand. About Pic's saber... well the hilt and blade were small (i suppose it is a short lightsaber, and since it was given by Yoda), but anyway Kyle had an orange lightsaber in Mysteries of the Sith, so he could have retrieved it from him... -- Menma Mazar 11:38, 11 October 2006 (UTC)
    • Funny, I always thought that the orange lightsaber was the same as the yellow one he got from Yun, but that the creators of the game just made it look a bit orangy in stead. KEJ 08:19, 12 October 2006 (UTC)
      • That's what i always thought too. I think they may had wanted to give the players the opportunity to play most saber colors [green and gold in JK, orange, purple and blue (bespin secret level) in MOTS] for singleplayer. Or they just forgot and chose the wrong color, hehe.-- Menma Mazar 16:54, 12 October 2006 (UTC)

What was the significance of the "golden lightsaber," anyway? Did Yoda just say "gift for you, I have. In box of Cracker Jack, I did find it" or something? Or perhaps Yoda saw through the Force that Kyle Katarn was to inherit Rhan's saber to help him follow the path of a Jedi?Dex Antares 01:14, 31 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Jerec using Destruct on Rahn

  • Where does this come from? In the intro movie he clearly uses some sort of Force paralysis, not Destruct. You can clearly see the glassy look in Rahn's eyes, not him being "brought to his knees" by the destructive power of a Force Fireball.

Besides, there is a theory that Destruct was a Valley only power.DarthMRN

    • I took off the reference to Force Destruction, which the power clearly isn't (unless the novella says otherwise). As for the Valley-only theory, that's very interesting! I'm not sure if can hold, however, because a dark-sided Kyle can learn Destruction right after killing Yun. Also, the power that Jerec uses to knock Kyle backward into the Falling Ship level (after the Maw duel) looks a lot like Destruction. -BaronGrackle 08:14, 14 October 2006 (UTC)
  • Well, as has been detemined by the lightning discussion on that powers talk page, even though the ep.3 game allows players to learn lightning during the course of the game, it is non-canon until a source surfaces to dispute such. This, and the fact that the canon ending is light-side, sort of disputes Kyle learning Destruction at all. The problem is, as you say that Jerec could have used it in the movie, and that Kyle never learning it doesn't prove that it has different properites than was demonstrated in-game.

But if we assume that casting it requires a Force Nexus of some kind, then things would be more easily explainable. The whole of Ruusan is a Force Nexus, no? And it was only ever cast there.DarthMRN

  • Ah, an excellent point! Considering no one else in the Star Wars universe ever wields it, I think you've converted me to that theory, DarthMRN. Too bad it's only speculation, but I like it. -BaronGrackle 21:32, 14 October 2006 (UTC)
  • Kyle canonically does learn Force Destruction eventually, because he uses it against Mara on Dromund Kaas in a cutscene of Mysteries of the Sith.
    • I lost my copy of MOTS, so it's been a very long time since I've played it. If you can add this information to the appropriate articles for us, or any other game information we may have neglected, it would be terrific. -BaronGrackle 00:01, 11 February 2007 (UTC)

That power is Force Destruction. - Forgot to log in. (;P)

[edit] Nothin in between?

Uh, ya, I'm a takin this out, cause there is, grey Jedi status. Darthan the destroyer

[edit] Did Rahn leave a body when he died?

From Force ghost: "Qui-Gon Jinn...was established in Revenge of the Sith as the first G-canon character to learn how to become a Force ghost, despite his body not disappearing at death. The implication is that one can learn how to be a Force ghost even after dying a standard death, but the action has not been repeated even once in the Star Wars universe." Is this true as far as Rahn goes? --68.44.13.236 05:27, 16 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Qur’ān

Isn't it possible that Qu Rahn's name is a reference to the Qur’ān, the Islamic bible? --C Teng 18:08, 4 May 2008 (UTC)

  • Read the article. MadclawShyriiwook! 18:10, 4 May 2008 (UTC)
    • Oh, yeah. I searched "Qur" on it, but nothing came up, so I assumed it wasn't there. The Qur'an is misspelled, I'll fix it. --C Teng 18:28, 4 May 2008 (UTC)
