    • The Ultimate Alien Anthology does not confirm that they aren't telepathic. If anything, I would say it suggests that they really are. To quote:

Quermians are famous for their apparent telepathic ability. Quermians can communicate nonverbally by locking eyes with one another. Quermians deny they have telepathy, claiming that they are merely highly attuned to each other's body language.

Xenobiologists doubt this claim, pointing to highly unusual activity in parts of Quermian brians, but so far no hard scientific evidence has been provided to confirm or deny psychic powers on the part of all Quermians. (For purposes of game mechanics, however, this ability functions like the Telepathy skill.)

The book goes on to describe the mechanics of this ability.

Short-Range Telepathy: Quermians can communicate telepathically with other Quermians as well as Force-users who possess the Sense feat. Using this ability is a full-round action. A quermian must make eye contact with the person is wishes to contact telepathically and succeed at a Wisdom check (DC 10). A failed check indicates that the attempt has failed, although the Quermian may try again.

This ability does not enable non-Quermians to send telepathic messages, only receive them.

So, the book states that Quermians insist they are not telepathic, but it is believed otherwise. In my opinion, the rules seem to suggest that they really are telepathic, as non-Quermian can receive these messages without being familiar with Quermian body language. For the sake of this wookieepedia article, though, I do think it's probably worth noting that the Quermian deny having this ability and it has never been scientifically confirmed.

Additionally, I checked the Power of the Jedi sourcebook, and it does not confirm telepathic ability, either. It gives the same information as the Ultimate Alien Anthology. The article should definitely note that telepathic ability is only speculation. -- the Ash lad 23:34, 24 June 2006 (UTC)
