The Rattataki may be the evolved or hybrid form of the Taung, as there love for battle and chalk white skin may or may not be indicators to there genetic history. This is only a theory and so counts as strictly as non-cannon. Awar 23:04, 20 January 2007 (UTC)

Is there canonical source support for that? It sounds as if somebody along the way has confused the similar-looking Umbaran's telepathic abilities as being shared by this species.
