Is this character based on this illustration by Tom Hodges? - Kaal 17:54, 11 July 2007 (UTC)

  • Yes, it sure is. I'm starting to think that Vhonte Tervho is actually supposed to be Rav Bralor. I mean, the new figure is exactly like the Tom Hodges art from the Insider magazine for it to be a coincidence that two Mando females have armor like this. Since Vhonte Tervho isn't the official "canon" name for this character, and only what the artist wanted her name to be, we may have to think about consolidating the two articles. I'm sure enough questions will pop up about the two, that someone will have to say for sure what her name actually is, so I'm sure it can wait until then, though. — Sadriel Fett (Mando'a) (Bounties) 08:41, 13 July 2007 (UTC)
    • Got some info from the Karen Travis Yahoo Group on the similarity between Vhonte and Rav:

"Vhonte hasn't appeared in a canon source, but that doesn't mean she won't. Also, the Mandos do tend to have similar armour schemes (there's only so much personal detailing to be done) as shown by the Mando backing into the shuttle having a green scheme like Fenn, Fett, and others, and Karen's comments to me about many females sharing the same colour scheme."

They also had this to say:

"Official answer from KT:

Lots of women wear red plates, and the one backing into the shuttle (in the Tom Hodges picture) could be one of several different Mando females. Briika and Dinua in A PRACTICAL MAN both wear similar red plates so it's no stretch that Vhonte and Rav looked similar.

Hope that helps people.

Jim"

So, like he says. Hope that helps people. — Sadriel Fett (Mando'a) (Bounties) 04:56, 15 July 2007 (UTC)

True Colors appearance

I went ahead and deleted the line with the appearance of Rav Bralor in the Republic Commando: True Colors books. I was actually spoke with Tom Hodges today at the San Diego Comic Con, since Entertainment Earth released the rest of these figures in this set today. He wasn't happy they changed the name of this character to Rav Bralor, but did comment that Karen Traviss was writing her in her next Republic Commando book, True Colors, but using the name of Vhonte Tervho and not Rav Bralor, which should make Vhonte Tervho finally canon in the EU. — Sadriel Fett (Mando'a) (Bounties) 03:18, 27 July 2007 (UTC)

  • Well, my mistake. Guess they were misinformed. Ms. Traviss just stated on her Yahoo Group page that she is indeed putting Rav Bralor in her new True Colors book. She said she mentioned the name in Hard Contact and Triple Zero, and everyone assumed Rav Bralor was male. But we'll definitely meet her in the True Colors book. So, I'm adding the True Colors appearance back in the main article. — Sadriel Fett (Mando'a) (Bounties) 10:42, 27 July 2007 (UTC)
    • On a side note, I guess they weren't completely misinformed. I just read that Ms. Traviss also states that Vhonte Tervho is also named in the True Colors book, making them both canon. Right on!! — Sadriel Fett (Mando'a) (Bounties) 10:46, 27 July 2007 (UTC)
  • Thanks for all those reports, Sadriel ;) Kaal 17:52, 27 July 2007 (UTC)

Picture change?

I was wondering if it would be a good idea to change the picture in the article to one with her helmet off. Perhaps this one:

What blaster is that?

Does anybody know what sort of pistol she's carrying in her left hand? It almost looks like a Relby-k23 blaster pistol with a stock.

Consolidation of Rav Bralor and Vhonte Tervho

With regards to this statement above: "I went ahead and deleted the line with the appearance of Rav Bralor in the Republic Commando: True Colors books. I was actually spoke with Tom Hodges today at the San Diego Comic Con, since Entertainment Earth released the rest of these figures in this set today. My interpretation of this is that Vhonte Tervho is also known as Rav Bralor. Should they not be merged? April.staines

  • Now read the rest of it and you'll see that the answer is no. They are two different people who happen to have similar armor. Moon Demon 16:22, May 26, 2011 (UTC)

They where both selected to be Cuy'val Dar by Jango Fett? that must have been very confusing given there similar appearances, its not just the armor, little things like the belt and flairs, cape etc are just too similar to ignore.
