Homeworld[]

Should we really list his homeworld as Alderaan, seeing as how it was destroyed 9 years after his birth? User:SFH

  • I'm assuming you mean 9 years before his birth. As for your point, his family is Alderaanian, and he was always referred to in the novels as "the young man from Alderaan" or "the young Alderaanian". I just followed the lead of the novels. StarNeptune 04:50, 26 Aug 2005 (UTC)

Little-known information[]

Little is mentioned about his role in Young Jedi Knights: Heirs of the Force. I read through it and found some interesting trivia though I don't know whether to add it into the article.

  • Did you know that on one occasion, Jacen Solo's pet crystal snake escaped from its cage and had a nap in Raynar's robes while that boy was asleep in his chamber. When Jacen and his sister Jaina come into his room to retrieve their pet, the twins use the Force to cause the sleeping Raynar to rise and then undangle the robes with some of it getting dusty. I discovered that this boy is so concerned about his appearance that after that incident, he said that he had to put on a "whole new outfit".
  • On another occasion, during a lecture by Luke Skywalker, he questioned Luke's quote "There is no try". Raynar then proceeds to say that Luke must have tried and failed at some time and that nobody can always succeed in ehat they do. Luke then replies by saying that he did not say he never failed and that no Jedi ever becomes perfect.
  • And on another, he gets involved in a disgraceful food fight in the commmon which was started "accidentally" by Jacen during his attempt to retrieve his pet crystal snake which had escaped again.
  • During a lecture by Tionne Solusar, when Tionne instructed her beginner and intermediate students to practice lifting with the Force over the following days with that day being lifting something tiny, Raynar dares to interrupt her by asking how she could expect the students to strengthen their skills by taking back to a younger level.
  • When I was reading Dark Nest I: The Joiner King, I found out that he was once bitten by Jacen's crystal snake and fell into a coma. He was found by Leia Organa Solo during a visit to her son's quarters at the Jedi Praxeum.
  • Should I add these in? MyNz 9:26, 4 February 2006 (UTC)
    • Go for it! Eyrezer 01:41, 5 February 2006 (UTC)
      • I was under the impression that in Heirs of the Force, he was bitten by Jacen's escaped crystal snake, and that is why he was lying asleep in the middle of his room. The Joiner King bit I assume was referring to the same incident, but Denning must have forgotten the fact that Leia wasn't there when it happened (unless Raynar got bit by the snake more than the one time we know about). Lusa?[]

How was his relationship with Lusa controversial among Star Wars fans? I never noticed anyone saying anything negative about it. Qwi Xux 21:34, 28 July 2006 (UTC)

  • Sorry to comment on an old topic, but I just noticed this and agree. Off the top of my head, I can think of Corran Horn's relationship with a Selonian and Wes Janson sleeping with a Bothan, as well as of course Gavin Darklighter/Asyr Sei'lar. As far as I know, no contreversy has been raised about any of that, or about this particular relationship for that matter. Unless anyone has any objections or can point to a source stating that such contreversy exists, I vote we remove the statement as unnecessary.
  • I've removed it for now, unless someone can tell me why it should be there. Jenosidanian 21:05, 18 July 2008 (UTC)

Quote[]

I think this quote is Out of Universe, and thus not suitable for the top of the page. -LtNOWIS 22:14, 13 October 2006 (UTC)

  • I agree. Lowbacca5 17:48, 18 December 2006 (UTC)

Invincible[]

How come Raynar is listed as appearing in Invincible? When and where was this revealed? Unsigned comment by 144.134.102.50 (talk • contribs).

Animal attack[]

In one YJK book, Raynar is injured by a predator on Yavin 4, and Lusa must carry him back to Academy. Does anyone recall which book that was, and what animal it was?JustinGann 10:02, 30 October 2008 (UTC)

Images[]

Can we expect to see any new up to date images of Raynar? and also why if he is described with blonde hair does the pic in the info box show him with black hair? User:Jedi master425

Height[]

When did Raynar get so tall?Unsigned comment by 66.38.109.245 (talk • contribs).

Image[]

is the image in the info box before he was disfigured? Unsigned comment by 72.22.124.129 (talk • contribs).

Infobox image[]

I really feel that we should use the image of Unuthul. It's actually in color. --Darth Praxus- Stover Lover 19:43, July 16, 2010 (UTC)

I'm going ahead and changing the image. The current one is not the latest in-universe picture, and the one I proposed is, I think, all-around a better image. --Darth Praxus SithEmblem-Traced-TORkit (Did somebody order a miracle?) 19:39, November 12, 2010 (UTC)

P&A[]

Shouldn't Raynar have a powers and abilities section?Unsigned comment by 72.22.124.129 (talk • contribs).
