InsiderEdit

I think the letters page of Star Wars Insider 89 has an explanation as to what, if not exactly whom, Rum Sleg is. The answer to the letter explained the 'skull-face' on Rum's helmet visor, and the fact that he's not the only one of his kind. Unfortunately I did not pick up that issue, but if someone who has it wants to check...Tocneppil 17:31, 24 October 2006 (UTC)

  • I'd also like to read that. Why hasn't that been shared? 24.17.73.18 09:14, 13 December 2007 (UTC)
    • Direct quote, courtesy of, and appreciation to, Rebel Scummer CommandoScorch:
  • "Q: In Episode I, on the morning of the Boonta Eve Podrace, just after Darth Maul's probe droid zooms across the screen, we see a skull-faced being in an orange space suit walk by. Who is this guy, and what alien species is he?
  • A: This character is identified as Rum Sleg, a bounty hunter, in Decipher Inc.'s Young Jedi Collectible Card Game. There's no notation about his species- the skull-like face is definitely part of the helmet and not any organic makeup effect, so it's possible he's a human. as a fun bit of trivia: All the spacemen seen lurking about Mos Espa were put in afterward in postproduction. They are all ILM staffers wandering across green or bluescreen sets to add to the city's port feel." 76.22.3.36 07:31, 12 April 2008 (UTC)

SWTOREdit

Should it be noted at all that one of the selectable avatars on the SWTOR forums is a character identical to Rum Sleg, if not Rum Sleg himself? Obviously it's not canon or anything, but is it still notable? See: http://i41.tinypic.com/300fo0l.gif Qwo 08:12, May 7, 2010 (UTC)

"Just Chill"Edit

Frankly, this quote has nothing to do with the character's creation, nor his in-universe existence. While it may be interesting if there were a page on "Dan Bojanowski", whomever he is, it is irrelevant in this article. You might as well be discussing the type of die Bojanowski uses while he plays or how many experience points he has. It's a factoid about an only marginally related person, not the character in question. Furthermore, we don't even have a citing as to verify the source of this information. Sorry, I'm not trying to be a jerk, it's just the way it is.--Demos Traxen 01:40, October 7, 2010 (UTC)

  • It's not irrelevant, because as I said it pertains to the original concept of the character as he existed prior to canonization. And it is the only tidbit of information we have on the character at that point. You seem to think that it's saying this Dan Bojanowski had a battle cry. The part in question is addressing the character, not the creator. At any rate, this article does not need less information. The more the merrier. Qwo 01:47, October 7, 2010 (UTC)
    • The more relevant and verifiable information, the merrier. As you've already noted, it's prior to canonization, and therefore irrelevant. If, in the future, you obtain a citation which show that this "battle cry" applies to the conceptualization of the character by someone who works in Star Wars canon, then yes, it should go in. Until then, it's useless and unverified trivia.--Demos Traxen 04:52, October 7, 2010 (UTC)
      • Well it's nice to think things. Qwo 17:57, October 7, 2010 (UTC)
        • I work and have worked in Star Wars canon. I'm writing Star Wars stories in my current job. It's not something a person said, it's something a character said. A character in a Star Wars roleplaying game. That character did more in that roleplaying game than he did in any other media, so I thought it was relevant and interesting and a nice personality note. Seems to me that this is as relevant as many elements of canon included here on Wookieepedia. I'm the source, by the way. Shocho

Can someone translate that??? I don't know whether to delete it or if it's actual info just in Spanish... --Lamp774 11:36, March 9, 2012 (UTC)Lamp774

  • I've reverted it. Even if it is "actual info" Wookieepedia is an English wiki, and foreign languages are not allowed. --144.173.5.196 11:40, March 9, 2012 (UTC)
