Episode III
Edit
Does anyone know were Salporin is exactly in Episode III? Cato Neimoidia 02:35, 6 February 2006 (UTC)
- I believe he was somewhere on Kashyyyk. :-) —Darth Culator (talk) 02:50, 6 February 2006 (UTC)
- Well duh, hello, but where exactly is he during the Battle of Kashyyyk? The Databank says he is fighting on the beach but it doesn't even give a picture or anything. Cato Neimoidia 01:51, 7 February 2006 (UTC)
- Sorry, I couldn't resist being facetious. It's a bad habit. Anyway, the problem is the sheer number of Wookiees in Episode III. Unless someone does a StarWars.com article or a chapter in some behind-the-scenes book about Wookiee choreography, we probably won't know which Wookiee was where. This problem is compounded by the fact that singling out that particular Wookiee as Salporin was a retcon. It's likely that any of the named Wookiees except Tarfful, Merumeru, and Chewbacca were like that-unnamed extras in fur suits until someone picked one publicity shot to attach a name to. It will also probably be difficult to identify others like Guanta and Lachichuk outside of publicity shots as well. —Darth Culator (talk) 02:59, 7 February 2006 (UTC)
- Yeah, your probably right. Cato Neimoidia 21:24, 8 February 2006 (UTC)
- "It will also probably be difficult to identify others like Guanta and Lachichuk outside of publicity shots as well." Especially since they had, I believe, like seven Wookiee extra costumes made, which were digitally duplicated over and over for the crowd shots. So even if you were able to look close enough, you'd presumably see several Guantas, several Lachichuks, etc., and then the question is: which is the "real" one?--Valin Kenobi 09:57, 15 January 2007 (UTC)

Possible IU name meaning
Edit
According to the Galactic Campaign Guide, both sal and porin are shyriiwook words used in names ; porin translated into Basic as "sage" or "teacher", and sal translated as "lightning", "storm", or "thunder". I think it'd be interesting to have a IU perpective of the characters' given names. What would be a proper place -if there's any- in the article to include this ?
