Relation
Edit
The IGN video that released this character said that he was Darth Maul's brother, not just a relative. Flyn Arc

- point taken. i just changed it to that. Ralphjedimaster 17:08, December 3, 2010 (UTC)
- someone reverted my change! Ralphjedimaster 17:31, December 10, 2010 (UTC)
- ok, who reverted my change and why?! Ralphjedimaster 05:11, January 8, 2011 (UTC)
- anybody out there?! Ralphjedimaster 01:06, January 12, 2011 (UTC)
- People are here. Don't worry. I don't know who reverted your change (check the edit history if you really want to find out), but Opress's relationship to Maul is left a little ambiguous by the developers. We don't know if they meen "brother" as in sibling or "brother" as in member of the same clan. Opress already has a biologial brother named Feral, but it has been confirmed by the developers that he is of some relation to Darth Maul. Until the exact nature of his relation to Maul is revealed in the show or directly stated that he is Maul's biological brother, it should stay that he is merely a relative for the time being. 173.180.89.129 07:52, January 15, 2011 (UTC)
- Well they just revealed yep he's Maul's brother. —Unsigned comment by LordVukodlak (talk • contribs).

Voice actor
Edit
After viewing the 2 latest trailers involving Savage Opress, his voice sounds exactly like Voice actor Clancy Brown. —Unsigned comment by 99.232.126.152 (talk • contribs).
- Your opinion doesn't matter. If it hasn't been confirmed, then it can not be added to the article. That'd be called speculation. 1358 (Talk) 20:12, November 12, 2010 (UTC)
- While unnecessarily rudely stated, I absolutely agree. I'm quite certain from hearing his voice that it's Clancy Brown as well, but until someone at Lucas Animation/Cartoon Network/otherwise in-the-know confirms it, it doesn't belong in the article. DigiFluid 10:44, November 16, 2010 (UTC)
- It's Clancy Brown who voices him. See this: http://starwarsblog.starwars.com/index.php/2010/12/09/clone-wars-screening-in-la/ Scrayer 21:12, December 10, 2010 (UTC)
Dathomir?
Edit
this artical states the Asajj ventress's home planet is dathomir, but other sources state that it is rattatak. just thought it'd be worth a mention Swordsquirrel 13:13, November 19, 2010 (UTC)
- Added the source.--JacktheBlack 08:22, November 21, 2010 (UTC)
Change of databank=
Edit
The thing that has all of Savage Opress's biographical information should be switched to red becuase Savage Opress is a Sith lord like Darth Maul. —Unsigned comment by 120.146.87.3 (talk • contribs).
- No, because he is a Dark Acolyte, which means he is a Dark Jedi, not a Sith. 1358 (Talk) 09:30, November 27, 2010 (UTC)
Article Picture
Edit
Once we have some more media to choose from, I really hope we can change this article's picture. The one we have now doesn't make him look like an evil Dark Acolyte, it makes him look like he's about to cry. Opinions? DigiFluid 08:05, November 30, 2010 (UTC)
Name shortener
Edit
- should we call him savage or opres for short or wat User talk:Saddy66
- this isn't the place to ask that, or change the article title to a nickname, which is not accepted here. Ralphjedimaster 17:33, December 10, 2010 (UTC)
- OH NO NO NO thats not wat i meant guys what i meant was to call him savage or opress for short thats all User talk:Saddy66

skin
Edit
I know it's sourced so it can't be disputed, but his skin is clearly not black. It's brown, and it's not even that dark. It can be clearly seen as brown. Maul on the other hand has red skin with black tattoos, which are clearly black.68.40.151.199 00:58, December 16, 2010 (UTC)
- I thought his skin was yellow and that the black/brown were tattoos? Anyways, it may be the lighting making it look brown, or the fact that, with comics atleast stated colors didn't always look so. Black was usually shown as blue...
As for the source to Opress's skin, if you follow the link, the page states "It was important that you don't confuse him with Darth Maul -- we couldn't make him red and black so we made him yellow and black." The black on Maul has been stated as tattoos so I'm assuming so is Opress's..? Korsa3 01:37, December 16, 2010 (UTC)
- If the brown/black parts on his face are tattoos, should that be listed as his skin color in the infobox? It could just be the particular artists rendering. I'm not quite sure. Maul doesn't have a listed skin color in the infobox, but it's obviously red from the pics of him as a child before his tattoos. It's probably best to just sit back and wait until we get confirmation.68.40.151.199 21:40, December 16, 2010 (UTC)
- the character is oubviously based on Darth Maul, so I'm thinkin they are tattoos as well. It's known to Zabraks to have tattoos as a ritual passage, and as Maul had them I am to think Oppress (and the other at least 3 Zabrak who appear in the season 3 trailler) also had them as some ritual. What bugs me more is the state that says that Oppress and Maul are related or brothers. I mean, shouldn't skin color be genetically inherited? I know it's never mentioned nothing like this, but I do think Maul's family should all have red skin. In my point of view then, Oppress could be related to Maul distantly, but hell they could not be siblings. I just think they did not think it all through when the character was created. --Xicufwm 05:26, January 11, 2011 (UTC)
- With Twi'leks skin color isn't genetic, so why would Zabraks be any different? There is also half-siblings, and adoptions. However this doesn't belong to be discussed here, as this isn't a forum. Korsa3 05:54, January 11, 2011 (UTC)
Guys, a Zabrak naturally has brown skin. Darth Maul's skin was like that because he covered his entire body in Sith tatoos. —Unsigned comment by 173.67.151.219 (talk • contribs).
Known Masters
Edit
Should Mother Talzin be added to the known masters list? Or is it unclear whether or not she personally mentored him? Medleystudios72 18:59, December 21, 2010 (UTC)
- Unclear, and the masters field is primarily reserved for Jedi or Sith Masters. CC7567 (talk) 19:50, December 21, 2010 (UTC)
- well, it is clear ventress trains him a little bit, and dooku obviously. Ralphjedimaster 05:15, January 8, 2011 (UTC)
- How is it clear Ventress trains him? It looks like she at one point may have dueled him. Anyways, Mother Talzin looks more like her role is sort of like a supervisor. She knows practically everything, but doesn't take part in the nitty gritty. Until revealed, nothing can be added as it would be speculation.Korsa3 05:40, January 8, 2011 (UTC)
- it is clear that ventress sort of trains him, because in the next episode, she duels all the zabraks to find the right one. and it is very obvious that dooku should be added to the "known masters" list. Ralphjedimaster 01:09, January 12, 2011 (UTC)
- Dueling is not training. Korsa3 01:18, January 12, 2011 (UTC)
- notice i said "sort of", and what about dooku? he should no question about it be added to the list. Ralphjedimaster 19:47, January 12, 2011 (UTC)
- I don't think Dooku should be added until the next episode airs and we see he officially becomes Opresses master. Korsa3 20:38, January 12, 2011 (UTC)
- notice i said "sort of", and what about dooku? he should no question about it be added to the list. Ralphjedimaster 19:47, January 12, 2011 (UTC)
- maybe you should make a vote poll on that. Ralphjedimaster 17:11, January 13, 2011 (UTC)
- Darth Tyranus is shown training him in lightsaber combat in one of the previews and berating him for his uncontrolled aggressiveness, and is also shoen tutoring him in Sith meditation, so that would qualify Dooku to be mentioned as Opress's mentor. The official character card for Opress does mention him as being Dooku's secret Sith aprrentice. 173.180.89.129 07:56, January 15, 2011 (UTC)
- exactly. Ralphjedimaster 19:59, January 16, 2011 (UTC)
Eye Colour
Edit
In the Episode 3-13 Commentary, which is available on the Star Wars website for those who wish to verify, in the scene where Savage runs to help his brother his eyes are shown as being a greyish colour rather than yellow. They only become yellow once he embraces the dark side. The fact that his eyes were originally grey should be added to the article's info box. 173.180.89.129 07:36, January 15, 2011 (UTC)
- I agree. From what I've seen, all Jedi that turned to the darkside have both their original eye color, and darkside eye color mentionedKorsa3 07:39, January 15, 2011 (UTC)
- I'd add this detail in myself, but I'm unable to make edits to the page while it's locked. 173.180.89.129 07:46, January 15, 2011 (UTC)

Sith Apprentice or Dark Jedi Apprientice?
Edit
Based on what is written here http://www.starwars.com/theclonewars/guide/episode313.html, it's suggests Savage will be a Sith Apprentice and not just another Dark Jedi, should Order of the Sith Lords be added to his Affiliations? Considering it is listed as an Affiliation on Ventress' page.
--thealexweb 19:32, January 15, 2011 (UTC)
- This has already been discussed. We should wait until the episode becomes available before changing his affiliations. 173.180.89.129 20:03, January 15, 2011 (UTC)

Condensing information
Edit
I feel like the bio section could be cleaned up some. The first few paragraphs are all about Dooku's betrayal of Ventress and her failed assassination attempt. While this information is important to Savage's backstory, I don't think it should take up half of the biography section without actually mentioning Opress. I would take a crack at it myself but I've got a lot of work to do in the next few days, so I figured I'd mention it here. Thanks Darth Adonis 17:46, January 16, 2011 (UTC)
blade
Edit
shouldn't an article for opress's "enchanted blade" be made? and don't forget to mention that his blade could fire it's tip. here's the link: http://starwars.com/theclonewars/guide/episode313.html, in the "secret's revealed" section. Ralphjedimaster 20:13, January 16, 2011 (UTC)
Opress unleashed
Edit
I went ahead and placed the mission to Affa after his last TCW appearance. If it should go somewhere else (maybe before the Toydaria mission), that's fine. Corellian Premier
