Talk:Scorpenek annihilator droid
Back to page
- This droid was based on a concept for a battle droid in Episode II. I remember seeing it in The Art of Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones. Should this be in a Behind the Scenes section.--Darth Oblivion 17:06, 3 July 2006 (UTC)
- Could you please provide a picture before it's added? Fleet Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision)

- This is the image from The Art of Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones:
Some of it is cut off, but the droid is symetrical anyway. I've looked at a copy of The New Essential Guide to Droids, but don't own one. If someone has it, could they confirm that this looks exactly like the annihilator droid.--Darth Oblivion 18:07, 3 July 2006 (UTC)
- I'm looking at both books right now, and they look identical. Was this even mentioned in any other source, or did they just decide to pull it out of the concept art? LSUAdman 18:09, 3 July 2006 (UTC)
- They've done it before. Ex: Asajj Ventress.--Darth Oblivion 18:12, 3 July 2006 (UTC)
- But Asajj found her way into the comics, then the cartoon series (and toys). This guy went from unknown concept model to referenced in a tech book. I was just making sure I didnt miss some reference from a book I didn't read or something. LSUAdman 18:28, 3 July 2006 (UTC)
- Yep, it's another Asajj Ventress. Definitely deserved a Behind the Scenes mention, including that image. Speaking of which, we need the one from TNEGtD. Fleet Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision)

- It would be great if someone could get the whole picture. Its basically impossible with my scanner.--Darth Oblivion 01:14, 4 July 2006 (UTC)
- Well, since that is the actual model, we don't need that if we have the actual one, I suppose. Fleet Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision)

- I think that image would be good as a height referance! -- Awar 00:03, 5 July 2007 (UTC).

- LSUAdman: Yes, this was the first mention other than in The Art of Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones. As Dan Wallace says here, "The Colicoid Annihilator droid is an unused Doug Chiang concept sketch for Episode II, as reproduced in The Art of Attack of the Clones. It's got a great look, and the moment I saw it I knew I wanted to officialize it somehow." jSarek 00:23, 5 July 2007 (UTC)
