Ulic Qel-Droma? Edit

Is there anything other than Factfile that has Sedriss as the descendant of Ulic Qel-Droma? I have Factfile, and in my opinion it's not a good source by itself. Factfile would have gotten it from somewhere, but where? --Katana Geldar 23:46, 21 October 2007 (UTC)

Move?Edit

Should this move have been made? The rule is "names, not titles," I thought. JSarek 18:13, 10 May 2005 (UTC)

  • I'm not sure that is part of the style guide, yet, but I agree with you: this article should not have been moved.--Eion 18:15, 10 May 2005 (UTC)
  • Just yesterday we moved Grand Moff Tarkin to Wilhuff Tarkin because it was thought best to not use titles in the name. So for that reason, I think this article would be better left as Sedriss. --Beeurd 18:16, 10 May 2005 (UTC)
  • It should be Sedriss. Even if the title was a terminal rank before a character's death, it should be their name. Unsigned comment by SparqMan (talk • contribs).

PictureEdit

Is there a better picture of Sedriss? The current one makes him look like you're average thug. --Katana Geldar 06:11, 2 July 2007 (UTC)

  • Alas, all pictures of him make him look like your average thug. jSarek 06:33, 2 July 2007 (UTC)
    • Pity, I pictured him cooler. Trust me for only having the radio play. --Katana Geldar 23:33, 21 October 2007 (UTC)

MovedEdit

When was the new name established? I've never heard of it before. Commander Daal Imperial Emblem.svg 14:43, 28 August 2007 (UTC)

  • His former name and the relationship to Qel-Droma was established in the Fact File. --Borsk Fey'lya Talk 16:27, 28 August 2007 (UTC)
    • That may be, but what's the reason for calling him "Sedriss QL"? Aren't we supposed to use the name the character themselves used last (as per Anakin vs Vader)? There was never any mention of "QL" in Dark Empire II. Commander Daal Imperial Emblem.svg 11:52, 12 September 2007 (UTC)

Possible inconsistenciesEdit

Something else altogether: When was he captain of the Executor? And how could he be a descendant of Ulic Qel-Droma if the latter died childless? Commander Daal Imperial Emblem.svg 11:52, 12 September 2007 (UTC)

  • Evidently Ulic wasn't childless. And it doesn't say anything about being captain of the Executor in the article, just having the title of Military Executor. - Lord Hydronium 12:07, 12 September 2007 (UTC)
  • Ulic had ample time to father a child - both prior to and after the Sith War. QuentinGeorge 12:33, 12 September 2007 (UTC)
    • My bad, I misread the infobox. Guess I'm a little tired;). The other was because I thought Ulic withdrew into exile right after the Sith War. But I guess it's not an impossible ret-con for him to have had children before Tales of the Jedi. Commander Daal Imperial Emblem.svg 13:38, 12 September 2007 (UTC)

ConfirmationEdit

An independent search of the Fact Files has failed to verify the "QL" claim. If a scan of the relevant page is not provided in seven days, I'm reverting this to the pre-QL state and banning anyone who tries to change it back for fanon unless they post proof FIRST. -- Darth Culator (Talk) 02:15, 27 October 2007 (UTC)

(posted from Borsk Fey'lya's page)
  • It's on page SED1. I can only give you a quote from the German Fact File (with my own translation), but it would surprise me if the translator made all this stuff up: "Angeführt wurden diese Dunklen Jedi von Sedriss QL, einem direkten Nachfahren des gefallenen Jedi Ulic Qel-Droma. ("These Dark Jedi were led by Sedriss QL, a direct descendant of the fallen Jedi Ulic Qel-Droma.") Ursprünglich geboren als Qaga Lok, hatte Sedriss beim Eintritt in Palpatines Elitetruppe von seinem Namen nur die Initialen behalten und sich zu Ehren seines neuen Meisters in "Sedriss" umbenannt ("Originally born as Qaga Lok, Sedriss only kept the initials of his name when he entered Palpatines elite corps, honoring his new master by taking 'Sedriss' as his new name.") - wie "Darth" ein Titel aus der alten Sprache der Sith. ("- like 'Darth' a title from the old language of the Sith.")"

    • Unless this comes from the English-language LFL, I don't see why we keep it around. VT-16 20:11, 3 January 2008 (UTC)
      • So, is there confirmation on this 'QL' thing?Tocneppil 21:19, 27 February 2008 (UTC)

DE Sourcebook?Edit

How could Sedriss be in the Dark Empire Sourcebook if he first appeared in Dark Empire II which came out a year after the DE Sourcebook? Xicer9Atgar.svg(Rawr) 04:15, 22 March 2009 (UTC)

The commanding officer of the avenger template. Edit

Shouldn't this template be added?--EzriDax 00:48, 20 August 2009 (UTC)
