Talk:Senate Guard
From Wookieepedia, the Star Wars wiki.
if someone could provide this page with a scan of the post-ROTS Senate Guard outfit worn by Isaru Omin in the last Republic, that would rockJustinGann 02:07, 31 Oct 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Senate Guard & Swiss Guard
- Is it only me or what? I think Senate Guards of the Star Wars Universe look much like Swiss Guard of our earth. Was the concept design of Senate Guard base on Swiss Guards? Darth Kevinmhk 03:11, 24 March 2006 (UTC)
- Uh, have you ever seen the Swiss Guard? They look nothing like the Senate Guard. Kuralyov 03:26, 24 March 2006 (UTC)
- I'll say... Admiral J. Nebulax (talk) 21:22, 24 March 2006 (UTC)
- If anything their helmets look as if they are based on Ancient Greek HelmetsMount Temple 11:56, 24 October 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Phase II
Is there a picture of the Senate Guard in their Phase II armor? Jedi Wolf 5:25, 29 September 2006 (UTC)
- They don't have Phase II armor. They were separate from the clone troopers. Fleet Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision)
21:25, 29 September 2006 (UTC)
No, what I mean is the changes made to their armor during the Clone Wars. Jedi Wolf 5:28, 29 September 2006 (UTC)
- What changes? Fleet Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision)

No helmet bristles, obscuring face visor. Sound familiar? Jedi Wolf 5:21, 1 October 2006 (UTC)
- That doesn't make it Phase II armor. It could simply be standard off-duty armor. Grand Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision)
21:23, 1 October 2006 (UTC)
- Dude, no offense, but I'm not interested in a debate on what kind of armor it is. What I asked was does anybody have a picture of the Guard armor I described. Jedi Wolf 6:55, 2 October 2006 (UTC)
- Where does it show them in this alternate armor? Grand Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision)

Star Wars: Clone Wars; Chapter 24, a guard and a bunch of clones defend the Jedi and the Supreme Chancellor from General Grievous after he barged into the office, and Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith; the part where Chancellor Palpatine talks with Mace Windu about getting rid of the General. A guard with that description is standing in the background. Jedi Wolf 2:26, 3 October 2006 (UTC)
- Screenshots would be helpful, because I've seen both of those, and I didn't see any Senate guards with that description. Besides, Star Wars: Clone Wars distorted the Phase II clone trooper armor in the first place. Grand Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision)

Bingo! That's it! That's what I've been looking for! Thankyouthankyouthankyouthankyouthankyou. Can we put it on this page? Jedi Wolf 6:01, 3 October 2006 (UTC)
- I've uploaded it here if you want to try and put it in the article somewhere. -- I need a name (Complain here) 22:10, 3 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Alien Senate Guards?
Are there any alien Senate Guards? The Republic didn't seem to discriminate, so is it Palpatine's doing that there are none? Or is it that there are Humanoid Guards, but we can't see the face bacause of the black visor?Ciphe 17:25, 14 June 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Legacy
If they were phased out during the Empire, who replaced them in the New Republic and Galactic Alliance Senate? Jmaster 14:21, 26 May 2009
- The New Republic Honour Guard during the New Republic era. Unkown for the Galactic Alliance era, but one can assume that the New Republic Honor Guard was just renamed the Galactic Alliance Honour Guard. ~ Awar 18:47, September 30, 2009 (UTC)
