What source ever mentioned the Alliance being involved in the conflict? I just played through this in TIE Fighter and there isn't a single Alliance ship in the entire campaign and I don't remember Sacrifice mentioning any specific details about the war (although my memory could be sketchy). Similarly to the above (however old it may be), how do we know that the New Republic were involved? It's been a while since I've played it, but I thought that the conflict was rather throroughly ended by the Empire. If that's the case and it didn't become an issue again until GCWII, then how could the NR be a combatant?
