JerecEdit

At what point were they used by Jerec? I don't remember that from JK - if it's from RPG material, it needs to be named in the sources. 68.44.13.236 06:11, 1 May 2007 (UTC)

Fixed. Also, I tracked down the edit and asked about it here, just to make sure. --68.44.13.236 14:43, 16 September 2007 (UTC)
That just says it came from a merge; it doesn't say where it was merged from. You'd really have to find the editor who originally added it to be certain it was superfluous, but meh I guess as I'm probably not going to do that. --Andrew Nagy 15:45, 19 June 2008 (UTC)

Logical?Edit

The following statement from the article strikes me as being rather questionable

"A popular use for close quarters combat was to run up and attach it to an enemy using the delay mode. The enemy would then run away, usually towards other enemies, only to have the device blow up."

Here are my complaints. First, the placement of an object that large (6"-1'? acording to DF) would almost certanly not go unoticed by anyone armored or otherwise. An exception could made for powered armor like the AV-1A Assault Armor or Space Trooper Armor Mk1-Mk2; or possibly vehicles such as the AT-ST or IFT all of which would not carry the force of placement directly to the pilot. If this is the case, then the article should say so. Otherwise what is to say an enemy will simply run away? If you had an explosive atached to you, you would either dislodge it and throw it back or run after the attacker ensuring his destruction as well (or at least avoiding your fellows). Since it appeared in Dark Forces II or Mysteries Of the Sith (I don't own either game but I do own Dark Forces and The New Essential Guide to Weapons and Technology) it is more likly game mechanics than anything else. Besides, many other alternative weapons like grenades, grenade Launchers, or land mines provide very efficient target destruction without the entailed risk of the afore-metioned tactic. As such, I think that this statement should be edited out of the article.

  • I have just edited the article accordingly.
