Genetic Manipulation? Edit

I seem to recall that the Rakata (while on Lehon), were mapping genetic sequences. This was possible even with their low technical skill. Could it be that the Rakata, at the height of the Infinite Empire, messed around with the genetics?

Just throwing it out there.
