Edit
"The rare metallic compounds used in its construction resulted in a blade far heavier than its 1.4 meter length would indicate—6.5 kilograms, or over triple the weight of a vibro-ax."
This states that the vibro-ax weighs 2.1 kilgrammes. This is slightly more than a heavy book. 6.5 kilogrammes is about 13 pounds. For a 1.4 metre chunk of durasteel and alloys I think this is a tad little. If you need a strong physical body to wield 6.5 kilogrammes then I must be god, seeing as lifting about 50 kilogrammes is part of everyday work. I think the sources here should be checked out.

- Medieval greatswords (Zweihänders, Claymores, etc) were generally in the 1-2 kg range, and were cumbersome enough for their wielders. For this beast to weigh at least triple that, it would make handling it in combat, especially against nimble, lightsaber-wielding Jedi, quite a feat. I doubt you have to sling that 50kg weight around your body and over your head continuously while other people try to hit you. Dangerdan97 19:12, 24 June 2008 (UTC)

Edit
Perhaps this quote can be used at the top of the page? "Although lightsabers are a superior weapon, there is still nothing quite as satisfying as feeling the warm spray of blood when one cleaves through one's enemy with a real sword."
I would do it myself but I don't know how. It's a quote from Komok-Da, I found it in the lightsaber article under Sith developments and usage. I just thought it sounded great and fit perfectly for this article. I'm going to do some more studying to learn how to make quotes and source them properly. Once I learn, I'll come back and do it myself if nobody has done it already or objects to its usage.71.227.51.243 17:47, December 6, 2010 (UTC)
