Clean up[]

I edited this entry for grammar, but I can't help but think most of it should really be in the entries for Darth Bane and the Battle of Ruusan. Also, I haven't read the comic in question, so I have no idea how accurate the entry is. Silly Dan 02:19, 26 Apr 2005 (UTC)

  • WOW. I can't tell you how many times I've started fixing the grammar for this article and then given up after about a minute (while still on the first paragraph). I'm definitely impressed. I think I agree with your point about the info being in other articles, but I don't know much about the Battle of Ruusan and that whole situation, so I can't claim to know. -- Aidje 02:28, 26 Apr 2005 (UTC)

I'm pretty familiar with this period, and own the comic Jedi vs. Sith, so I'll have a go cleaning this up. The only Kaan-related source I don't have is the Dark Forces novellas, which Kaan makes a brief cameo appearance in a flashback sequence. QuentinGeorge 08:41, 27 Apr 2005 (UTC)

  • Cool, go for it. -- Aidje 14:32, 27 Apr 2005 (UTC)

There. That's better. The entry is still larger than Darth Bane and Lord Hoth's, so there may be some stuff in it better removed to other articles. QuentinGeorge 22:04, 6 May 2005 (UTC)

  • Kaox Krul was NEVER the Dark Side of the Sith. Gamer makes it clear he was a mere underling of Kaan.JustinGann 20:48, 2 Dec 2005 (UTC)

Jedi Master?[]

In the flashback/vision scene of Dark Forces: Jedi Knight, the spirit (or whatever) of Tal that Katarn is posessing refers to Kaan as a Jedi Master. Granted, the Dark Forces books are a little off with their Force-naming, what with the author referring to Dark Jedi and Sith as simply Jedi and even calling Jerec a Jedi Master. But the author was vindicated when the Dark Forces Saga actually made Jerec a Master, and calling Dark Jedi 'Jedi' could probably be right...from a certain point of view. So, should this article include that Kaan was apparently once a Jedi Master before defecting to the Sith? Kuralyov 23:03, 9 Jan 2006 (UTC)

  • It's plausible, certainly, after all Darth Ruin was a Jedi Master, as well. But then again, "Jedi", has been used as a generic term - even in the movies, see Qui-Gon in TPM say, "He was well trained in the Jedi arts" when referring to Darth Maul - QuentinGeorge 05:18, 10 Jan 2006 (UTC)
  • I always took Qui-Gon's statement to mean that Darth Maul knew how to use a lightsaber without disembowling amputating himself. Grievous also said he was trained in the "Jedi Arts", yet all Dooku taught him was lightsaber combat. -- SFH 21:14, 10 Jan 2006 (UTC)
  • It is only speculation that Kaan was once a Jedi. The use of the term "Jedi" in Dark Forces novel is questionable. Although it was revealed that Jerec was once a Jedi, this has nothing to do with Kaan. There is no source that refers to Kaan ever being one without the use of the termbeing questionable. It is possible that he was once a Jedi Master, but it is not known at this point. Saying that Kaan was once a Jedi Master in the article would be speculation. Speculation cannot be included in Wookieepedia articles. 173.51.117.61 05:53, July 19, 2011 (UTC)

Kaaaaaaaaaaaaan! Sorry, I just couldn't resist. :P Unsigned comment by Commander Jake (talk • contribs).

^^ I've always wondered about the Kaan to Khan relationship... Unsigned comment by 74.242.224.235 (talk • contribs).

Lost 20?[]

If Ruin was, wouldn't this guy be one as well? Thanos6 21:50, 23 June 2006 (UTC)

  • I think the thing is that they didn't know that Ruin became a Sith. The Lost 20 don't include those that fell to the dark side. Cull Tremayne 14:24, 4 November 2006 (UTC)

Yes it coud... After all Dooku got even his own bust, Im guessing the others also got one. --Thrawn Du Gard 23:27, 2 August 2009 (UTC)

  • his bust was in the Jedi Temple's library, true, but he's not identified as having turned to the dark side until later into the movie; Kiadimundi and Windu both confirm the notion that he was not known to be dark earlier in the movie, hence the bust posted in the library.--Anonyhm 16:19, July 2, 2010 (UTC)
  • It is only speculation that he was once a Jedi. Not every Jedi Master to leave the order is a member of the Lost 20. The Lost 20 only includes Jedi Masters that formally resigned from the order, not ones that abandoned it. Most members of the Lost 20 did not fall to the dark side, as a fallen Jedi would need a good excuse to formally resign without the order knowing that the Jedi leaving the order fell to the dark side. 173.51.117.61 05:59, July 19, 2011 (UTC)

Stripped others[]

What is this nonsense about Kaan stripping the others of their equality of being Dark Lord of the Sith? -- SFH 00:00, 20 February 2007 (UTC)

  • It's bs. He made all the Brotherhood members officially equal, even though it was really him in charge. He certainly didn't strip them of their Dark Lord titles.Kaje 00:05, 20 February 2007 (UTC)
