is this image fanon? I think it is. —Unsigned comment by SkywalkerPL (talk • contribs).
- When you run into an image that you think is fanon, edit the image description to put a {{No_source}} and/or a {{Sources}} tag on it. I just did so for this particular image, since I'd like to know its source as well. —Darth Culator (talk) 17:27, 4 Jan 2006 (UTC)
- I put the image up. I found it online at a model making website. Someone based it on artwork I couldn't view (the linked site no longer existed) but all of their other ships were spot on. I wasn't sure but I figured it would get sorted out soon enough. If it is fanon I apologize. I have been trying to figure that out myself. I'm going to take the image down from the page and put it here in the discussion and if it gets verified we can put it back in. I don't want to let possible fanon sit there.--DannyBoy7783 18:30, 4 Jan 2006 (UTC)
- I've never seen that vessel before. Since there's next to no info on the Slave III, I doubt it would have an image good enough for a modelmaker to reference. Despite the fact that I'm calling fanon on this, could you provide a link to that site anyway, just for verification? - Kwenn 18:33, 4 Jan 2006 (UTC)

- I've re-added the text box, but removed the picture. Admiral J. Nebulax 20:33, 4 Jan 2006 (UTC)
- Do we even have a source for the ship type? The CUSWE comes up with nothing - Kwenn 20:36, 4 Jan 2006 (UTC)
- Ask DannyBoy. He even recently added it to the MandalMotors page as well. Admiral J. Nebulax 20:41, 4 Jan 2006 (UTC)
- I should have investigated further before adding this stuff. Sorry guys. The site is [www.asylumshipyards.com here] I'll try and be more careful in the future. The page there links to artwork by some asian guy at the bottom. Sadly, I couldn't access the art ebcause the site no longer exists. My logic was that because all the other ships seem very well done and true to their artwork that this one was as well.--DannyBoy7783 22:26, 4 Jan 2006 (UTC)
- No problem. Though I think there are a couple of other fanon ships on there: anyone heard of a Sithspawn ship or a Hawk Gunship? - Kwenn 22:28, 4 Jan 2006 (UTC)
- Nope. Admiral J. Nebulax 00:15, 5 Jan 2006 (UTC)
- Good point Kwenn. I wasn't sure if those were real or not either. A poor choice on my part. Eithery way though it is a great looking model. Too bad we can't have it up here. --DannyBoy7783 01:01, 5 Jan 2006 (UTC)
- Yeah. But, we can't have any fan-made images here. Admiral J. Nebulax 01:03, 5 Jan 2006 (UTC)
- The text at http://www.asylumshipyards.com/current.htm, namely "To me the ship looked a lot like Boba Fett's helmet, and seeing as how I couldn't find any actually references to what Slave III looked like. I decided that is what this build would be." makes it clear that the image is indeed fanon. Sorry, Dannyboy. For what it's worth, I went on a knowing fanon binge before the good Admiral here reigned me in (twice!)--Erl 22:23, 2 March 2006 (UTC)
- That's my job. ;) Admiral J. Nebulax (talk) 23:02, 2 March 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks for the detective work. I assumed it was fanon after this discussion back in January but now we know for certain. Either way, I still think it's a great model (even if it doesn't belong here (though that isn't why I posted it originally))--DannyBoy7783 00:29, 3 March 2006 (UTC)
- Great model or not, this is no place for fanon. Admiral J. Nebulax (talk) 02:03, 3 March 2006 (UTC)
- I just said that Jack...--DannyBoy7783 14:29, 3 March 2006 (UTC)
