Talk:Spirits of the Force

From Wookieepedia, the Star Wars wiki.

Even among fan films, IMO, this was one of the most horribly acted. The characters were not very believable, and the story seemed too silly and cliche at times. Another thing, why do all fan film makers feel the need to have an opening crawl on their films? I can see a potential in the story, and possibly the actor's portrayal of Kyle Katarn, but... overall, it wasn't that great. It was a nice tie-in attempt to the EU, though, I must say, especially with the mentioning of Jerec's death from JKII. Adamwankenobi 10:06, 7 Dec 2005 (UTC)

  • Haven't seen it yet, but I've seen some pics from it (or mayby it was one of the sequels), and I must say, I prefer Angela Harry as Jan Ors. Anyway, the idea behind the film seems interesting KEJ 10:34, 7 Dec 2005 (UTC)
  • I liked this fanfilm. I think the lightsaber effects and fights were done well, and I liked the fact that Force Lightning was used. As Far as the acting goes, I guess it could have been better. Oh, and Jan wasn't in Spirits of the Force, I think she'll be in Fool's Errand and Reflections of Evil. JediDog 01:26, 8 Dec 2005 (UTC)
    • Okay, thanks for the info. I think I'll watch the film later today. KEJ 09:35, 8 Dec 2005 (UTC)
      • You know what? This film isn't that bad. Sure, there probably aren't any future Oscar winners in it, but for a fan film, it's pretty good. The guy who plays Kyle, I think, did a good job. I'll sure watch the sequels when they're finished KEJ 21:33, 8 Dec 2005 (UTC)
  • Jan did make a brief appearance in SOTF. She was in Jaina's dream and was "killed" by Jerec's Force lightning. Jedi Striker 02:06, 8 October 2006 (UTC)

This is the best Fan Film I've seen. Graphics, storyline and cinematography. Unsigned comment by Blindprophet (talk • contribs).
