Edit
This Squad Seven and Clone Flight Squad Seven ARE ONE IN THE SAME. There are no GAR units designed specifically for space combat. Clones of the GAR did not serve exclusively as infantry units nor did any of them exclusively function as pilots. Just because the troopers of Squad Seven suited up and hopped into 170s doesn't mean they're a different unit. The Squad Seven in Obsession, the Squad Seven in Labyrinth of Evil, and the Squad Seven in Revenge of the Sith are all the same unit. Oddball, as can be seen in Obsession, was Squad Seven's leader. Oddball, as seen in RotS, is Clone Flight Squad Seven's leader. How did anyone ever even come to the conclusion that they were two different entities? I say this page and the Clone Flight Squad Seven need to be merged, as they're the same damn thing. -- AdmThrawn --
- No, they aren't. There are two separate groups that mainly worked together. There are units trained specifically for space combat, hence the clone trooper pilots. They do not need to be merged. Admiral J. Nebulax 12:20, 1 Jan 2006 (UTC)
- Even if there were some clone units that primarily functioned as elements of the Republic Navy, that doesn't mean that Clone Flight Squad Seven and Squad Seven are two different units. This is what the Guide to the Grand Army of the Republic has to say about Squad Seven: "Commanders Cody and Oddball often led Squad Seven, although Major Jorir (CT-43/76-9155) handled the Squad's day to day operations." Does this mean that Oddball was both the leader of Clone Flight Squad Seven and the co-leader of the other Squad Seven. No, it doesn't. Because they're the same thing. Cody leads it in Labyrinth of Evil during the Battle of Cato Neimodia as an infantry squad. Oddball leads it in Revenge of the Sith during the Battle of Coruscant as a fighter squad. This is what the Guide has to say about the Navy: "The Jedi were also free to reassemble the Corps and Sector Armies into Fleets (such as Coruscant's Home Fleet) when naval maneuvers were necessary. The highly adaptable clone armies acted as both navy and army, but as the war dragged on, the Jedi began recruiting non-clone leaders for special naval service as well as ordering a significant batch of Kaminoan clones for flash-training in the old Corellian methods." That spells out, quite clearly, that the clones were designed to function as both infantrymen and as pilots. -- AdmThrawn --
- I see what you're saying, but I believe it is meant to say that Squad Seven was made up of both Squad Seven and Clone Flight Squad Seven. That would explain why Cody and Davijaan were leaders. Squad Seven itself consisted of two "smaller" Squad Sevens. Was that what you were saying? Admiral J. Nebulax 01:00, 2 Jan 2006 (UTC)

Who are the members of Squad Seven and what are the good at? General Nai
- Well, we don't exactly know the members of Squad Seven or what they're good at. Otherwise, it would be in the article. Admiral J. Nebulax (talk)
