CanonEdit

I don't believe there was every any intention for Star Tours to be considered a part of the canon EU. It's just a ride. --SparqMan 19:35, 2 Jun 2005 (UTC)

  • We've been given no reason to believe it's not canon. There's been a lot of fan effort to make it jive with continuity, and several things from the ride (the Starspeeder 3000s, for instance) have been referenced in other official sources. Some elements may not be canon, but we can't discount the whole thing based on those elements. JSarek 19:39, 2 Jun 2005 (UTC)
    • At the same time, I think we should at least mark it with a canonicity disputed thingy. Thanos6 12:39, 8 Nov 2005 (UTC)
  • Easy, just call it a ride/simulator in the New Republic times as well, something you'd find at Hologram fun world or a similar park. That way, everything works. You've got your non-existant Death Star, post-RotJ battles, celebrities in the wrong places and a canonical vehicle. It's entertainment for Citizens of the New Republic/people capitalizing on the success of the Rebellion. LightWarden

Some of the stuff in the Trivia section is copied straight from a Hyperspace article. -- Ozzel 06:33, 31 January 2006 (UTC)

Removing my original post, my old Star Tours cartoon was awful, its been totally overhauled so, yea, link to it as you wish ^^ - Kitmouse@hotmail.com 64.5.200.106 08:16, 23 March 2008 (UTC) Kitmouse

Canon Update! Edit

Hey, I found out that Leland Chee considers the droids canon. Read TastyTastes reply to a Star Tours question. -- Zakor1138 18:49, 1 June 2006 (UTC)

Come onEdit

Hello People!!!!!!! It! is! just! a! ride! with! some! factual! content! Maybe the speeders are real, but for cryin' out loud, Skippy the Jedi Droid contained actual events too.Padme829 01:50, 21 July 2006 (UTC)Padme829

  • You must excuse us. We're geeks like that. :) Adamwankenobi 01:55, 21 July 2006 (UTC)
    • Sorry to break it to you Padme, but Star Wars is our lives.IG-13 22:54, 28 July 2006 (UTC)
  • Sorry, I overreacted. : ) I just didn't think that in anyway it could be canon. ; ) Padme829 20:18, 22 August 2006 (UTC)Padme829
In the very least, information on the ride itself should come before the description of the "Star Tours" company and the discussion of whether or not it's canonical.--66.177.72.167 01:19, 12 September 2006 (UTC)
  • There's an issue of Star Wars Gamer with an article on Endor and the Moddell Sector that includes the line: "Immediately following the Battle of Endor, a tour company sought to capitalize on the sector's sudden fame by promising 'convenient daily departures to the exotic moon of Endor' along the decaying Sanctuary Pipeline. Accidents and mismanagement drove the company into the ground several months later." It includes a piece of artwork showing a ship that matches the Star Tours ship. In addition, the G2 "goose droids" appear in the New Essential Guide to Droids. --JMM 20:00, 27 October 2006 (UTC)

Record? Edit

Does anyone know if there is a record of who rode Star Tours the most times in one day? Because if there is, I plan on beating it tommorow. Timifer 20:21, 19 September 2006 (UTC)

  • Man, I'd get sick of the ride after about 3 times in a row. Actually, I think waiting in the line is the funnest part. Such neat things there. Have fun! --Xwing328(Talk) 23:26, 19 September 2006 (UTC)

What happened to G2-3B and RX unit? They are canon, and I didn't find them in the VFD. Does anybody know what happened to those articles? Gonk123 20px (verobrain) 00:46, 19 October 2006 (UTC)

  • There's articles for both the droids you mentioned. At least now there are: RX-24, G2-3B, and any toy released, I think. --JMM 19:55, 27 October 2006 (UTC)
    • I think he is talking about RX unit, the droid that gets repaired by G2-3B, Not RX-24. Check SWSTarTours.net. It talks about it. Pilot NR Seal.svg (Passenger Area) 19:02, 4 November 2006 (UTC)
      • Well, there is a general RX-series article, too. Just keep in mind that a few of the biographies, etc, from SWStarTours.net contain some fanon additions. For this article I chose to list only those droids that were released as toys, since Leland Chee has said they're part of LFL's Holocron database. The Star Tours (real-world) page lists every droid in the ride. --JMM 15:41, 5 November 2006 (UTC)
        • Well if the droid can be seen at Star Tours, then it's canon. The names could be made up, though. Pilot NR Seal.svg (Passenger Area) 00:24, 8 November 2006 (UTC)

Splitting the articleEdit

Now that the New Essential Guide to Droids has made Star Tours canon, or at least a travel agency named Star Tours and some of the details surrounding it, there should probably be one "Star Tours" article that's in universe and one "Star Tours (ride)" article, or something. If no one else has designs on it, I think I'm going to take this one on myself. Much of this page will end up on the "ride" page. Maybe this one should be moved there for now. --JMM 22:07, 27 October 2006 (UTC)

  • Sounds good, splitting the articles. Don't just move the entire page though. --Xwing328(Talk) 01:14, 28 October 2006 (UTC)

Wikipedia copyingEdit

Much of this article is cut and pasted from Wikipedia with a few minor edits of a word here and there. I've cleaned it up a bit all ready, but this will need an extensive rewrite so as not to be lifted from Wikipedia. --JMM 15:51, 28 October 2006 (UTC)

Possibility?Edit

I acutally see how it could be the Death Star Prototype. Even though it's on the other side of the galaxy, on the way to Endor, they could have just passed through the Endor Gate. Shay Clee 21:10, 13 August 2008 (UTC) EDIT: Wait a minute, I think I misread the article. I'm not sure if going near the gate brings you on the other side of the Galaxy, or the other way around. (WARNING: DRIFTING INTO FANON HERE)Maybe it could be like Gonk's Happy Caption Page, a Nydus Canal in space. Shay Clee 21:16, 13 August 2008 (UTC)

Ruebens Robotics?Edit

Spaceport Edit

Does anyone know what spaceport the ride starts at? I checked every spaceport and none of them seem to mention anything about it.

  • I'm fairly certain no source has ever mentioned where the starport is located. --JMM 15:28, 26 July 2009 (UTC)

Blue Flash in HyperspaceEdit

During Star Tours, I noticed a blue flash that occurs just after the entry into hyperspace. I don't remember blue flashes when anyone else jumped during the Star Wars saga. Perhaps this is the result of a wormhole that just conveniently jumped Star Tours through time and space, and brought it back.
