2007

So, now that the game (the centerpiece of this whole thing) has been moved back to spring 08, are they still going to call it the multimedia event of 2007? Will they really release the book and comic and so on before the game is released, thereby spoiling the story? Israi 16:19, 16 March 2007 (UTC)

  • Well, that's pretty much how SOTE went back in 96'. IIRC, production issues caused them to release the different media all throughout 96', while the plan was to release it all at once. Adamwankenobi 18:17, 16 March 2007 (UTC)

Phase III clone trooper armor?

Look at the stormtroopers in the video. Below the helmet, they have Phase Two armor, you can tell from the chest plate, back, and pauldrons. They also have different guns. Should this be mentioned?--1upD 21:13, 18 April 2007 (UTC)

  • That was merely made for pre-visualization purposes. It’s not a demo of the actual game.Leader 01:55, 15 December 2007 (UTC)

Star Destroyer in atmosphere

Possibly include the fact that the designers have already broken with SW canon by having a SD cruising over Coruscant inside of atmosphere? I found that odd. Unsigned comment by 74.105.22.59 (talk • contribs).

How do you know it is Coruscant and how is it breaking canon? In Attack of the Clones we see Acclamator-class assault ships take off from Coruscant.

Acclamators-ST2

In Revenge of the Sith we see Venator-class Star Destroyers taking off from a staging area on Coruscant.

Venator takeoff

Oyam5000 03:48, 17 July 2007 (UTC)

Its been stated that the biggest ship that can enter the atmosphere of a planet is the Victory Star Destroyer Class 1. Unsigned comment by 74.140.90.68 (talk • contribs).

  • And Venators are bigger than the Victory-class, therefore RoTS has already broken canon. -- I need a name (Complain here) 13:14, 27 July 2007 (UTC)
    • RoTS is canon. It can overwrite anything else that has been written.--1upD 14:36, 27 July 2007 (UTC)

Firstly its not couruscant, secondly when a Cruiser class ship enters the atmosphere it can only fly slowly and very precises angles, since gravity is pushing down it only required a small amount of force to pull it downwards. when it was aiming down the SD engines pushed it faster nto the ground. not the apprentice

...Anyone think we get a little obsessive? And in terms of canon, if ROTS shows that they are in the atmosphere, obviously that canon source could be wrong. AND this project is directly under Lucas so--wait, what type of canon would that make it anyway? User:Imperialscouts

PC?

Will there be a PC version?

  • At this point no. Unfortunately...Livingston (The Force will be with you. Always.) 15:40, 7 September 2007 (UTC)
  • Its coming out for Nintendo DS, PSP, Wii, PS2, PS3 and, XBox 360.Spideyguy96 01:17, 15 November 2007 (UTC)
  • The PC isn't powerful enough to take on the new type of technology avaliable, because if you think about it DMM and Euphoria require quite a lot of memory and the PC can't handle it. Devan2 20:21, 8 June 2008 (UTC)
    • It won't be released for the pc, YET... and disregard Devan2's comment, he obviously has no idea what he is talking about
    • To be fair the Devs said there is no "current plans" for a pc version. But I doubt PC in th near future would have memory/power problem when handleing it. Just think about the pc half a year later and such. Plus, I would doubt if any sentient human would call a piece of PS2 being better than any current pc.

the PSP version

The PSP version is going to have exclusive content, just check out this trailer that came in star wars battlefront renegade squadron: http://www.gametrailers.com/player/usermovies/123642.html?playlist=featured could someone post this? Here is an article summarizing the video: http://www.pocketgamer.co.uk/r/PSP/Star+Wars:+The+Force+Unleashed/news.asp?c=4295

Timeline?

What is the timeline for FU, in terms of BBY? I see that Leia is included in the list of characters. Would she have been a young child or teenager? --Lance E Sloan 02:05, 8 January 2008 (UTC)

I just noticed the Executor was on one of the pages of the Star Wars: The Force Unleashed comic. There must be some mistake!! The Executor wasn't constructed until sometime after the Battle of Yavin. It was built at the starship yards of Fondor. AdamDeanHall 17:45, 24 August 2008 (UTC)

Wii version

My friend and I have argued much over this, and who's right? It's simple, does the Wii version include the DMM or not?

No. That would take more processing power than the Wii would be able to handle. User:Imperialscouts

Canon Ending

I hate to say it, but I think the Devs are going to **** us over 'again' and make the apprentice go lightside. Even if the Apprentice doesnt go total Sith, as long as he doesnt go jedi Im ok with it. Did Lucasarts say that every game they make will have the canon ending lightside? The Secret Apprentice 02:11, 29 February 2008 (UTC)

  • I read somewhere that it is all about redemption. But that doesn't mean he becomes a jedi. Oyam5000 05:35, 29 February 2008 (UTC)
  • Maybe he die's saving someone and is redeemed from the dark side before he dies. Devan2 20:21, 8 June 2008 (UTC)
  • He becomes Jedi. Deal with it. The light side's cooler, face it. Aerandir 01:19, 29 August 2009 (UTC)

Okay, you did not just say that. The sith are WAY better than the Jedi (Sorry, off topic). Anyway, I must unfortunetly agree with the "lightside" ending being cannon. Why did Gorge Lucas have to side with the Jedi so much? 360 vs Wii

I have both an Xbox 360 and a Nintendo Wii, and I have been trying to decide which I should get it for. I heard that the Wii version has an extra feature that allows two people to saber fight with the Wiimotes. Would the graphics be the same for the wii? Also, I know that the story was different for the DS on the Lethal Alliance than on the PSP. Would the story be the same on the Wii? thanksJediBob 19:53, 2 March 2008 (UTC)

Graphics will be different for the wii, as well as the gameplay, and it will not have the two newest technologies that are on the 360. Story will likely be the same though.--70.71.240.170 06:32, 16 March 2008 (UTC)

Wii has very good controls, extra levels, and a two-player duel mode. Xbox360 has incredible graphics and Euphoria physics. I would get it for both. Drewton 17:53, 6 April 2008 (UTC)

Actually, the 360 has good controls too. I don't count the wii's 'swingy thing' as being better than a controller.--142.22.16.56 22:11, 15 April 2008 (UTC)

The Climax

It's kinda obvious that Starkiller has to die seeing as he isn't mentioned in the films. This occurred to me when I first learnt about it but when Lucasart's revealed they were thinking of making a sequel to it I was confused........ Please reply on my talk page. Devan2 20:18, 8 June 2008 (UTC)

  • i heard that he does die btu becomes a force ghost. cause sidious says after finding him dead "now he is more powerful that ever."

also there is a video i found were he comes to juno after she talks to kento (at end of game) as a force ghost. its weird he kinda peices himself together HE SURVIVES Darth Fuzzball 19:09, 3 October 2008 (UTC)

    • Sidious' comment is in regards to Marek becoming one with the Force, as Obi-Wan and Yoda did when they died, though he didn't disappear like the examples I gave (so I suppose Mara would be the quintessence here). However, I wouldn't suggest believing what happened in that video; as far as I know, no version of the story (novel or game, on any platform) ends in such a manner. // ~mikah~ 19:27, 3 October 2008 (UTC)
  • I think the end for the DS version really explains it. I haven't played any other version, so I don't how the ending differs, but the lightside ending for DS makes sense to me. --Sa12369 (talk) 21:54, July 30, 2013 (UTC)
  • Well, from what I have gathered, perhaps if there is a sequel it will focus on Maris, Perhaps. Seeing how Marek let her go mentioning "she will have to live with her choice for the rest of her life" perhaps it will expound on her...but idk i am just guessing...Anju Vena 07:22, 19 October 2008 (UTC)

Novel released in Germany

If this person on TheForce.net is correct, then the TFU novel has been released in Germany. Drewton Era-old (Drewton's Holocron) 19:27, 21 July 2008 (UTC)

That's true. I'm living in Germany and I got my copy two days ago. I guess that's the first time the German version of a Star Wars novel is released earlier than the US version.

Spoilers?

Hello guys I am wondering why there is major spoilers to the story already when the game hasn't even been released yet... has it been leaked or something?

  • Read the post right above yours. The novelization of the game has already been released in some countries, I think that's where the spoilers are comming from. 72.79.210.9 02:02, 3 August 2008 (UTC)

Critical Reviews

Hey, so yesterday I went through and read a bunch of collected reviews on this game, the most common responses stated that the game play was lacking, but the storyline and the cut scenes were really good. Should we go ahead and include the various reviews into a section now, or hold-off on that? For a greater explanation as to what I meant by lacking game play wise, a lot of reviews said that the game was too easy and repetitive, though at least one review said it was flipping between being too easy and too hard (though a couple others also suggested at that without actually saying it). Several said the game was OK to go through the first few times, but said that after that the game lacked re-playability. About three reviews said that they were annoyed with the game play simply because it wasn't enjoyable enough, and they just wanted to get to the next cut scene as quickly as possible. About two different reviews said that the game was essentially a video, with a game attached almost as an afterthought. One review pointed out that the main fun in the game would most likely be derived from torturing/taunting/playing with enemies using force grips, pushes, and pulls, which he described as being possibly mentally unhealthy behavior. 129.107.81.12 17:01, 18 September 2008 (UTC)

  • Those were all paraphrases, but I tried to get them as close to accurate as I can remember. I figured that because of the largely similar views of the game that came out, it would be good to include a critical review section perhaps? 129.107.81.12 17:06, 18 September 2008 (UTC)
    • Sounds like a good idea to go ahead with it, but unfortunately you won't be able to edit this page due to it being locked because of vandalism and such. You'll also need to add sources for all the information you add. I suggest you create an account (very easy, no personal information needed) you still won't be able to edit the page until you've been on for awhile. But if you do want to create a section for critical response I can create a page (that you can edit) and you can make it there and then I'll be happy to add it in for you. If any of that doesn't make sense just ask. - Kingpin13Cantina Battle Ground 17:11, 18 September 2008 (UTC)
      • Also I presume you mean for it to go into this article right? - Kingpin13Cantina Battle Ground 17:14, 18 September 2008 (UTC)
        • Hmm... I actually have an account, but I don't have a link to the page with all the compiled reviews. I do remember Game Informer had a rather helpful review that was successful at a collecting the views of many other reviewers' opinions, so perhaps I'll just add that one for now. I don't even own this game actually, not that I really plan to though, after reading the reviews, the plot line, and watching some kids play it at the mall. >_> 129.107.81.12 01:29, 1 October 2008 (UTC)

Article needs work- more detail

This Article really needs more detail on the extra boards from Wii, PS2, and PSP! More information about the jedi temple stages and the Bespin stuff (with Garm, and the gungan bounty hunter, etc. The 360 and PS3 don't have these, and this article should have some details about the distinction. Also, I assume that the novel has all events from all version, but someone should confirm this. The Graphic novel doesn't even include many events from the 360 version. This article should have a complete plot outline compiling all the sources. IthinkIwannaLeia 09:20, 21 September 2008 (UTC)

Is it really necesarry to go into what platform has what exclusive fights? I hear that the Proxy as Darth Maul fight is exclusive to 360/PS3, Dosolous and Phobos is exclusive ot Wii/portables, and then there's all the bonus content in different places. That would seem to turn it into a game walkthrough more than an article. 140.185.215.113 16:54, 25 September 2008 (UTC)Steve

In the game, a stormtrooper unit called "Shadow EVO troopers" or something like that appeared. Shouldn't them be mentioned?

Species in the game

I've found several species missing in this page. They were in the WII version of the game. Added species: Duros, Gran, Talz and Weequay. The Talz appeared at Cloud City as merc medic, the rest were seen at Bar Undertow. Please correct it if I were wrong. 202.128.252.144 04:53, 23 January 2009 (UTC)Walker

  • Gungan is also missing. In the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of the game, there is a Gungan frozen in carbonite on one of the levels. Gravy666 19:09, 26 January 2009 (UTC)

Floating in Space

I know that in the real universe entering the vacuum of space causes a person to "explode", but... Do Jedi have certain Force Powers that they use to move in space, like Galen Marek and Rahm Kota? I noticed Galen force push a rebel soldier into vacuum aboard the TIE fighter construction facility orbiting Raxus Prime, but he doesn't explode. How much real world science can we apply here? --Kohr'dan Voss 10:28, 31 January 2009 (UTC)

With Kota he wasn't in space. The floor heats up during the fight and speeders can be seen below in the cutscene so the station has actually entered the atmosphere. As for Starkiller, perhaps Vader was protecting him with the force User:1705jallen

  • Sorry to restart an old topic (not THAT old, at least) but I don't think the science of what would happen if someone entered the vacuum of space has been confirmed. I've heard different things, ultimately based on what sci-fi you're watching/reading/playing. Some sources say that one would "explode" because all the fluids (both gas and liquid) rush out of your body however possible, so the chest cavity and skull (and probably digestive tract) would just open (the idea is that, with no air pressure, these fluids would simply want to boil out). Other sources claim it would be a matter of freezing or suffocating (whichever came first.) But since we've never seen anyone before TFU explode in space (and since we've seen a lot of people unwillingly go into space in JK2 and JK3), then it's fair to assume that, in the Galaxy Far, Far Away, they would simply suffocate or freeze. Taral, Dark Lord of the Sith 20:17, 30 April 2009 (UTC)

Contradictions

I liked the game, but I wonder how much of this is going to contradict with novels after the Alliance to Restore the Republic? Of course, there's no mention of Galen Marek, Juno Eclipse, PROXY, and Rahm Kota, but wouldn't there be contradictions revolving around the stories of the formation of the Rebellion? And what explanation is there of no mention of the surviving new characters? Perhaps they were on Alderaan during the destruction? Maybe this will be brought up in the Legacy of the Force series. --Kohr'dan Voss 10:28, 31 January 2009 (UTC)

Gorax

In the article's Species section, it mentions Gorax as one of the species in the game. I own the Wii version, and they do not appear in it. Do they appear in any other versions?--Whatinthewampa 17:38, 29 May 2009 (UTC)

Naboo

I tried to find anything that would show, that Naboo actually appears in TFU. It's among the locations of the game, but there's no mission to Naboo. If not - then it must be the one that is simply mentioned in the game?

There's a concept-art of Theed and Imperal SD. But that's all. So why Naboo is among the locations of the TFU? Neterwan 19:31, 11 June 2009 (UTC)

Which form of Media is canon?

All three of the diffrent ways this story is told have minor diffrences. Which one is considered canon on this site? Unsigned comment by 173.17.248.153 (talk • contribs).

  • All of them. -- I need a name (Complain here) 19:31, 7 July 2009 (UTC)
    • There has to be one or the other that's more "supreme" when there's a difference. For example, in the novel, the sarlacc was said to have died by the time Galen returned to Felucia. However, in the game (the 360 version, at least), it was very much alive, only it was subdued by the Imperials. So which one is the official story? Aerandir 23:34, 27 August 2009 (UTC)
      • I would personally consider the PS3/360/PC version to be canon, since it's the flagship title that all other works in the project revolve around. You'll need to start a CT thread or something if you want an administrative answer, thought. SinisterSamurai 06:36, January 23, 2010 (UTC)

Supposed Shaak Ti- Or Ahsoka?

I have beaten force unleashed numerous times, but I just got to thinking- Shaak Ti was killed in Episode III because of order 66, Check the deleted scenes in the dvd. Yet, in Force Unleashed there is a mission where you have to kill Shaak Ti, it made me wonder- What if the person that Dath Vader thinks is Shaak Ti is really Ahsoka Tano? Shaak Ti was already an adult in Episode III, So wouldn't she have aged? In the game, the Shaak Ti you have to kill looks no older than twenty. Not to mention, her horns are shorter than in Episode III. Also, yes the apprentice find redemption-He starts the rebellion, for god sakes. Unsigned comment by 13stewda (talk • contribs).

  • It's Shaak Ti. Perhaps you should have read her article before posting this. Grand Moff Tranner Imperial Department of Military Research (Comlink) 01:47, 1 August 2009 (UTC)

No, go to the official star wars website. Then look at the archives on her page there, she's dead before Force unleashed, trust me.

  • Shaak Ti is in The Force Unleashed, not Ahsoka. Stop trying promote a completely inaccurate theory of which you are the only believer. Grand Moff Tranner Imperial Department of Military Research (Comlink) 01:51, September 3, 2009 (UTC)

She has died many times. But all the scenes you mentioned are deleted, and thus non-canon. The game, and thus her death, is canon.--Ironreaper 03:19, September 9, 2010 (UTC)

Cannon?

Are the force powers overexatgerated form in the series (the selling point) considered cannon? With Darth Vader capable of shooting force pushes like that, if they were cannon surely they would appear elsewhere?Drayco 01:39, October 29, 2009 (UTC)

  • For one, I think they were not really exaggerated. The game is set with the main character using the Dark Side of the Force. Most media to this point, focuses on the Light Side powers but never have we seen an individual use the force with such abandon. Besides, we have not really seen Vader do some really powerful force stuff that we know he can really do (except for force lighting because it can short-circuit him). Questorminator 06:35, June 19, 2010 (UTC)

No, there is no debating whether the powers are exaggerated or not as Hayden Blackman stated several times that TFU is a complete over the top interpretation of the force, thats why every jedi, not just starkiller has these 'unleashed' force powers.

Why did Marek leave the Emperor to live. Surely the whole point of the rebellion is to remove the empire and Emperor from power. Which One to Follow?

I know I am late on this topic but, I played the Ps2 version and 360/Ps3 versions of the game and the stories in both games seem different. I noticed that in the Ps2 game you fight Kento Marek and Vader finishes him off for you, but in the 360/Ps3 version you only encounter him in the Jedi temple and on kashyyyk. But I noticed the Galen Marek page states that he fought Darth Phobos (in the Ps2 version only) yet no info on you fighting your father (again in the Ps2 version only). And in the Ps2 version you find Khota on Nar Shadda even though he was on Bespin in the 360 one. So are we just picking and choosing what stuff actually happened to our own convienence? No, it is not. @infinata on twitter said that the Onderon arc retconned it. Oh, and sign your posts! Conner itsatrap (talk) 19:46, December 18, 2013 (UTC)conner_itsatrap

  • I already said it on the Force Unleashed II talk page, but I do not agree. We already know that the Alliance is formed by many independent rebel groups. What he said is that the Rebels on Onderon are canonically the earliest representation of the future Rebellion against the Empire. Not that it is the formation of the Alliance. Actually, the tweets says "all I meant is thematically the idea that one regime's soft war fighters became the next's rebellion is reflective of how George defined the roots of the rebellion more than what TFU put forth". There is no true contradiction here. We speak about the thematics of the ROOTS of the Rebellion, not the political Alliance formation. --Le Passant (talk) 14:44, December 20, 2013 (UTC)
