TIE Fighter Mod
Edit
So, what's the name of this TIE Fighter mod, and how do I find out more about it? --72.226.105.38 06:50, 16 April 2006 (UTC)
- I was wondering something. I (And probably a bunch of people here) have a pack of replacement models for this game. They have MUCH higher detail than the supplied ingame models do, and provide models for some new ships, particularly the Rebel ships introduced in Rebellion, and that Calamari Cruiser that was meant to oppose a Vicstar. Would it be allowed to post images of those models here, for things that only have pictures from the game? Such as the R-41, Supa Fighter, Muurian Transport, etc. Or would that be considered fan-made images? --Commander Mike 04:56, 1 May 2006 (UTC)
- IMHO graphics details aren't absolute canon since the ships slightly contradict the appearance in the movies. If you have models that were made to look more movie-like, I guess it would be ok. MoffRebus 09:53, 1 May 2006 (UTC)
- Are the replacement models put out by LucasArts, or fans? If they're not official, then they're fanart, even if they're undeniably better than the originals. jSarek 11:03, 1 May 2006 (UTC)
- I believe that the ships' appearances slightly contradict the movies because, when the game was made, they needed to make the models low detail in order for it to run on a lot of systems. They're not made by LA but look way closer to the movie appearance. If you want you can check it out here. http://www.xwaupgrade.com/ --Commander Mike 14:08, 1 May 2006 (UTC)
- jSarek is correct, IMHO. If the craft have appeared in the movies, then post pictures from the movies, since they are the definitive source. If the craft have appeared in another canon source, then that source should be referenced. If the craft were created for the game, and have only appeared in the game, then that appearance should be considered canon, regardless of whether some fans have made higher detail models. The X-wing Alliance Upgrade Project is fanon, despite the hard work and attention to details that the contributors have put in. So, the short answer is, "No! These pictures are unacceptable." -- Dengar Antilles 10:52, 2 May 2006 (UTC)

Starviper
Edit
It was going to be included should we mention it some were in this Article? Mandaloe 17:39, 23 February 2007 (UTC)
- Seems like a good idea to me. I added a BTS section mentioning it and the modified Strike Cruiser as well. Gonk 18:07, 23 February 2007 (UTC)
Shadows of the Empire Crossover
Edit
How is XWA a cross over with SotE, I don't remember there being anything from one in the other - except maybe a few random cameo appearances by characters and some of the same locations? What exactly is meant by a cross over? Thanks. DarkJedi613 (Talk) 14:36, 4 August 2007 (UTC)
- Exactly those things you mentioned :) Only that I disagree with 'random cameo'; the player flies with Dash Rendar in an essential mission which appears in SotE... and there is also the attack on Vergesso base. You might think that this is only a small sample, but that's why it's only a crossover and not a PART of SotE. MoffRebus 16:43, 4 August 2007 (UTC)
- OK. Sounds good. Thanks. DarkJedi613 (Talk) 13:36, 5 August 2007 (UTC)
trophies
Edit
I think we should list the trophies in the game
"decried by fans"
Edit
I hope I'm not going out on a ledge on this one, but should the statement "its lack of story-driven campaigns was decried by fans." really be in the opening paragraph of this article? It's roots may be based in fact, but there's no source to prove it in this article or in Star Wars: X-wing vs. TIE Fighter article. Easy88 14:22, September 24, 2010 (UTC)
