Release dates
Edit
I doubt anyone has any record of the exact release dates of the Marvel Star Wars issues, but I think we know for a fact that they weren't released during their cover months. As with nearly all comics of the day, the release dates were about three months ahead of the cover dates (i.e. the first issue came out in April 1977 but had a cover date of "JULY"). This can be confirmed by the first issue's editorial which states that Fox wanted two issuse of the comic out on the stands before the movie hit the theaters, as well as the copyright dates. I propose that all of the release dates be shifted back three months to preserve accuracy. Thoughts? -- Proudhug 12:06, 6 February 2006 (UTC)
If no one objects, I can go forward and make these changes myself. --Proudhug 02:58, 10 February 2006 (UTC)
Template
Edit
Is anyone up to making a template for the Marvel Comics that links to all of them? -- Riffsyphon1024 05:41, 11 Jun 2005 (UTC)
- Yeah, was wondering about that myself. Tried making it myself, but it was pretty asstastic. --Imperialles 08:08, 11 Jun 2005 (UTC)
- That's a great new word you've coined there. :P -- Riffsyphon1024 08:34, 11 Jun 2005 (UTC)
- Aaaanyway ;), a template will probably be needed for all these comic series. We'd need something similar to the succession box:

- Ah yes, that's pretty much what I was thinking. Only with more cells. --Imperialles 01:46, 12 Jun 2005 (UTC)
- Any progress on this? --Imperialles 23:28, 19 Jun 2005 (UTC)
- I've given up on attempting to build it from scratch. -- Riffsyphon1024 01:48, 20 Jun 2005 (UTC)
- Is there any way it could be integrated into the new comics infobox? cause that would be cool...--Eion 00:18, 20 Jun 2005 (UTC)
- Aye, Eion, that would certainly be neat. But since several of the issues have pretty long names we'd have to use their issue numbers in the template instead. That's no problem, though. --Imperialles 05:21, 20 Jun 2005 (UTC)
Inker = embellisher?
Edit
The sources I use for these articles also mention several embellishers. Should these be mentioned as inkers, or as artists? --Imperialles 15:45, 23 Jun 2005 (UTC)
- Embellisher is usually, BUT NOT ALWAYS, another word for inker. Thanos6 22:41, 19 Nov 2005 (UTC)
Missing information
Edit
We need information over why marvel stopped publishing star wars comics and why it was moved to dark horse instead. --UVnet 15:01, 22 February 2006 (UTC)
Canon?
Edit
Marvel Star Wars are N-canon, only stories mentioned in others books and few stories mentioned in other sources are C-canon. Why there are nothink about it? It should be added that Marvel arent full canon of Star Wars EU.
- Correction. As bad as some of the things that come from Marvel Star Wars have been, it is all still C-canon. -- Riffsyphon1024 08:27, 27 June 2006 (UTC)
- Hmm mayby you are correct, is there any oficial source that say so? Some articles on starwars.com or in another canon source?
- Marvel Star Wars has always been full C-Canon. QuentinGeorge 09:32, 27 June 2006 (UTC)
- Actually, as the link Adamwankenobi put in the article shows, they're actually S-canon. jSarek 08:08, 16 October 2006 (UTC)

Perhaps we should have two seperate lists, one for those that are s-canon and another that are c-canon? —Unsigned comment by 72.93.168.3 (talk • contribs).
and why did they have to make pirate ships with engines? or that stupid keepers world thing was them trying to advertize x-men or something. or how red beard sounds and looks like another pirate. and the pictures look like tapestries. its also a little too far-fetched. Lucas books is wasting their money if they don't stick to darkhorse.
- The newly-added quote is relavant, I suppose, but it's also 13 years old. Things have changed a bit. It really seems to come down to the author. And if I may: http://www.myuselessknowledge.com/sw/swmarvel.html --JMM 16:25, 1 March 2009 (UTC)
Lumiya
Edit
Since Lumiya is in Legacy of the Force does that mean that all Lumiya issues are C-canon? --The Pure 501st 18:17, 17 February 2007 (UTC)
- No. The character is C-canon, as are any elements of her backstory reiterated in Legacy of the Force. However, that doesn't automatically mean entire issues containing elements of C-canon are no longer S-canon - \\Captain Kwenn// — Ahoy! 18:21, 17 February 2007 (UTC)
- That's complete nonsense and reflective of nothing more than prejudice against the series.
- It is prejudice, but it is canon prejudice, as decided by the people Lucas employs. It is not the prejudice of Wookieepedia. Unfortunately, we have to accept the official prejudice to maintain canonicity in Wookieepedia articles;)JustinGann 20:34, 24 November 2008 (UTC)
!
Edit
Almost all Marvel stories have an exclamation sign at the end of the title, yet we don't have it here. Shouldn't we move all pages to the original titles, with the "!" in the end? QuiGonJinnAlways remember, your focus determines your reality.

- I agree. I noticed this recenty. We include question marks in Marvel titles, why not exclamation marks?JustinGann 20:34, 24 November 2008 (UTC)
- This is an old discussion, so I'll ask, is it still OK to move them? - Starfield 17:53, February 9, 2012 (UTC)
- Well, I can't actually move them, at least not very fast. After a couple of moves I get throttled, so I think I'm on some kind of beginner's restriction or something. I tried! - Starfield 01:31, February 10, 2012 (UTC)
- That is not it. All baseline members are restricted from moving more than a few pages at a time to avoid vandalism. Only admins and bureaucrats are allowed uncapped page moves in a specific time frame. I am not sure if the exclamation rule thing still applies as no ruling has been made in favor of the "!" mark. I would avoid moving any more pages until you contact an admin.-I'm the Chosen One 01:42, February 10, 2012 (UTC)
- Thanks for the info, but it would have been a lot of work anyways. I tried. - Starfield 02:25, February 10, 2012 (UTC)

reprints of Marvel UK stories
Edit
This article states, "The only [Marvel UK] story that hasn't been reprinted in the US is Death Masque." However, the Star Wars (Marvel UK) article claims: "To this day, a number of [Marvel UK stories] have not yet been reprinted in either Marvel-published graphic novels or...books from Dark Horse Comics." Clearly both of these statements can't be true. (It's impossible to tell which is correct from the issue listings on the Star Wars (Marvel UK) page because the listings are currently incomplete.)
