So, in a galaxy where rampant anti-Jedi sentiment had only recently abated, someone thought it would be a good idea to give the Jedi an advanced stealth fighter that only they could use?

  • What's wrong with that? After all, the Galaxy had been attacked by an alien species from outside the Galaxy. Admiral J. Nebulax (talk) 20:21, 15 March 2006 (UTC)
  • Besides, it was the Vong themselves that were responsible for a lot of the anti-Jedi sentiment. And when you factor in that Luke Skywalker killed Shimrra, and Jaina Solo killed Tsavong Lah, it would be understandable why the Galaxy would be thankful. -- SFH 20:28, 15 March 2006 (UTC)
    • And, of course, they proved useful during the Swarm War. Admiral J. Nebulax (talk) 20:49, 15 March 2006 (UTC)

XJ VariantEdit

Denning said that the StealthX was a variant of the XJ3, depending on where it fits into the timeline of the ChaseX, it may be the XJ4 or the XJ6.

Talk:StealthXEdit

You also have to keep in mind that the Galaxy Alliance's High Council has six Jedi sitting on it at any given time, not that they have any political power to influence the government because of that, but they have the ear of the powers that be and their use as a peace keeping force is undeniable.

  • What the hell does this have to do with the StealthX? Fleet Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision) Imperial Emblem.svg 18:52, 21 July 2006 (UTC)
  • About as much as the first comment on this page, the Jedi serve as a semi-autonomus peace-keeping, law enforcement and diploymatic corps for the Galaxy Alliance, while arguably not exclusively for the GA, but primarily. Therefore, it would be a natual for the faction that supports them financially and officially, should provide them with certain...specialized resources and equipement that fit the Jedi's specific needs, including stealthy transport for the more sensitive missions that might be required of them.
    • Actually, the first comment on this page talks about the StealthX, unlike the first comment in this section. Plus, it's the Galactic Alliance, not the Galaxy Alliance. Fleet Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision) Imperial Emblem.svg 22:29, 22 July 2006 (UTC)
    • The intent of the comment was to show the why behind the creation of the StealthX, it actually looses its meaning when not directly following your last comment in the first section, but thank you for showing me that even has to be explained. So therefore, unless I directly refer to the topic that I am posting in, by your standards I am not talking about it? The StealthX, there, I refered to it, therefore I must be talking about it. And as for the name, I must congraduate you on learning the Force power, hair split, it will be very usefull. Thedric
      • "Show the why behind the creation of the StealthX"? Unless it's sourced, it's not the canonical reason as to why the StealthX was made. Fleet Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision) Imperial Emblem.svg 19:26, 23 July 2006 (UTC)
      • Canon? What makes you think I was citing canonical sources? It should be blindingly obvious that that was a purely speculative statement, I mean if you could not figure that out...well, that's your problem not mine. Of course it is not known why they made such a fighter that seems to be solely suited for the Jedi, but it should not need some great leap of intelligence or imagination to come up with some bit conjecture. Is it canon, no, is it from any kind of source, no again. So unless I have completely missed the point of this discussion, which I know I haven't judging from the conjecture that you yourself have posted, I suguest that you find a better use of your energy than trying to create a rebutle to my statement of 'why' the StealthX exists.
      • and i think you should make better use of your energy than making pointless comments anon. unless you actually have a point? And where in any canon source did it ever say the StealthX was just for jedi then? Jedi Dude 20:05, 23 July 2006 (UTC)
        • I knew it wasn't sourced and just your opinion. Why else would I say "Unless it's sourced..."? And Jedi Dude... he's not an anon. And let's calm down. All of us. Fleet Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision) Imperial Emblem.svg 20:05, 23 July 2006 (UTC)
            • he's not? why doesn't he sign his posts then? calm down? who isn't calm? just seems like a pointless discussion about a pointless topic. pure speculation. Jedi Dude 20:11, 23 July 2006 (UTC)
              • His name is Thedric, and he doesn't have to sign his posts with the "~~~~". Also, Jedi Dude, the "and i think you should make btter use of your energy than making pointless comments" thing wasn't neccissary just because he said something similar. Although speculation isn't really allowed on talk pages, you shouldn't just call it "a pointless discussion". While I appreciate you backing me up, I could have also been a lot more polite to Thedric. Fleet Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision) Imperial Emblem.svg 22:56, 23 July 2006 (UTC)
                • I apologise for going off like that, I simply hate people thinking they know what I am talking about and simply dismissing me before I can get my point across. It is true that I am speculating why the Galactic Alliance, after all this isn't Voltron, decided to build the StealthX, but I used a logical line of thought to come to a conclusion that seemed to fit what is known about the current state of affairs between the government and the NJO. From what I am made to believe from canonical sources, the government sees the NJO as a sort of policing force amoung other things, this sentament is voiced also within the Order, so it would stand to reason that they would build a craft suited for the Jedi's needs. This along with my orginal point, which was meant to show a political element based on the High Council structure at the time of when the StealthX was created, was to show why it was needed, because without the why, we wouldn't even be talking about it. PicturesEdit

From what I read in the Legacy books, The StealthX would appear similar to the US Air force F-22 Raptor. The lines are sharper, flattened panels of a modern day stealth fighter or bomber for eluding radar. Even the engine efflux from the TibanaX gas doesn't show up as regular ion trails. Of course any good reader with a vivid imagination can probably picture these but it would be nice to find some fan-fiction drawings of sorts. Avid Soyak 02:07, 9 December 2006 (UTC)

  • No, it wouldn't be good to find fan-made drawings. Even if some were found, none could be put into the article. Wookieepedia is not a place for fans to show off their art skills. Grand Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision) Imperial Emblem.svg 14:55, 9 December 2006 (UTC)
    • Well there was this one picture I saw that was good enough to actually sell the idea of the StealthX to me. I dunno....maybe something for an external links section? Lalala la 01:39, 31 March 2007 (UTC)
      • No. No fan-created images. In the article or in external links. --RedemptionRedemptionusersymbol.pngTalk 01:40, 31 March 2007 (UTC)
        • Though Wookieepedia articles should definitely avoid fan-created images, I know personally that I love to see great examples of same. Since it's already brought up here, and provided solely for the benefit of fans who love having some kind of idea of what a ship looks like, the picture Lalala may be referring to can be found here http://drone04.page.tl/Hi_rez.htm as the very last picture on the page. I believe this page is also linked to from the Discussion page regarding the Bes'uliik and has several artist interpretations of various ships for which no image has ever been officially provided. I hope it's ok to link here for the curious, despite the justified aversion to including it in the article itself. 24.196.3.142 12:42, 15 December 2008 (UTC)

Hyperdrive?Edit

Is there any evidence (Direct, or Indirect) that would indicate if the StealthX has a hyperdrive? It should be fairly clear from their use in the novels, but is not stated either way in the article.

It's got everything but the kitchen sink, so I assume it has one. Maybe even a fast one, such as an 0.5.

Redlink Template Edit

Is this appropriate in this article? All I can find are 3 of them.Valance Sinan 00:59, January 1, 2011 (UTC)
