The term monoecious generally refers to a plant or invertebrate animal with male and female parts. Hermaphroditic would perhaps be a more correct term in this case. 24.196.3.142 06:56, 17 December 2008 (UTC)

as its relating to the species as a whole i thought i would ask this here, has there ever been a strill shown other than Lord Mirdalan in any of the books

Sentience Edit

Listing Strills as non-sentient is incorrect. It's implied they have at least some measure of sentience - they're able to ride on the back of a speeder and can understand commands in a level far beyond that of an earth canine.
