Didn't Mon Mothma hold the title until the formation of the New Republic? Kuralyov 02:52, 11 Sep 2005 (UTC)

  • As Chief of State, Mon Mothma was Commander-in-Chief of the Alliance military, but I believe Admiral Ackbar was Supreme Commander of the Rebel Alliance Navy, seeing as how the Alliance didn't really have a navy prior to the Mon Calamari joining. -- SFH 03:17, 11 Sep 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Combine this with the Imperial "Supreme Commander" page??

Is it just me who thinks the two pages could be rolled together? Is there even any canon evidence for the full "... of the Imperial Fleet" title? --McEwok 23:18, 12 Sep 2005 (UTC)

  • This was originally a redirect to the Imperial Supreme Commander page. I changed it because it could combine both the New Republic position and the Galactic Alliance position (God I hate that name). Do any of you want to make seperate articles for the seperate posts? -- SFH 23:22, 12 Sep 2005 (UTC)
  • I'm suggesting that we do the opposite, actually - redirect the SCotIF page over here, and roll the Imperial and Rebel-NR-GFFA posts into a single article, starting with something like: Supreme Commander was the title given to the military commander-in-chief of most governments claiming to be galactic powers and heirs of the Old Republic, during and after the Galactic Civil War. Or is combining Imperial and NR ranks like that frowned on? --McEwok 00:28, 13 Sep 2005 (UTC)
  • The Imperial Supreme Commander has both governmental and military duties, while the NR and GFFA Supreme Commander is solely military, so I don't think we should. -- SFH 00:40, 13 Sep 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Pellaeon?

Pellaeon is Supreme Commander of the Galactic Alliance Navy? I know that Kre'fey had to stand down because of ar'kai, but they replaced him with an Imperial? -- SFH 21:42, 28 Sep 2005 (UTC)

I'm sure that this'll just throw more fuel on the "Cal Omas = Palpatine Mk. II" debate. But anyways, it's about time they let an Imperial run the military. They're more suited to that sort of thign than these wishy-washy NR types. Kuralyov 02:28, 29 Sep 2005 (UTC)

I'm not worried about Omas=Palpatine 2.0 (although I am concerned the man will have a stroke by The Swarm War). And no offense, but that wishy-washy comment means I'm going to have to keep an eye on you now. -- SFH 04:07, 29 Sep 2005 (UTC)

What exactly does that mean? Kuralyov 04:11, 29 Sep 2005 (UTC)

...It was a joke. -- SFH 04:15, 29 Sep 2005 (UTC)
