Name?[]
Is it actually named "Swamp gas", or is that conjecture? --Imp 13:40, 9 February 2006 (UTC)
- It's named as such in Star Wars Republic: The New Face of War - Kwenn 16:46, 9 February 2006 (UTC)
- I can't imagine this is the IU "technical" name for it. Would it be fair to put the {nickname} tag on the article?--Valin Kenobi 21:32, 20 January 2007 (UTC)
Dioxis = Swamp gas?[]
Labyrinth of Evil features a scene where Nute Gunray's mechno-chair is captured by the Jedi, though in its self-defence, tries to poison Kenobi and Skywalker with a gas Obi-Wan thinks is the one used on him and Qui-Gon over Naboo (dioxis, though not named as such here). However, later on, Captain Dyne inspects the chair, and says that Obi-Wan was right in assuming it was the gas often used by the Neimoidians (specifically that particular gas), but then Anakin says it was the gas used on Ohma-D'un—hence why Obi-Wan sensed the danger. So, is swamp gas actually dioxis, and if so, why is its use on Ohma-D'un such a surprise to the Jedi, especially Obi-Wan? And surely, seeing the devastation it caused to the Gungans, the Neimoidians wouldn't want such a potent toxin to be used aboard their vessels? - Kwenn 18:13, 24 March 2006 (UTC)
