Talk:Syluire-45 hyperspace transport ring
From Wookieepedia, the Star Wars wiki.
it was sometimes used by the V-19 Torrent starfighter
Do we have a source on this? Looking at the V-19, it doesn't look to be able to dock with the Syluire-45, and does look large enough to carry its own hyperdrive onboard.--Eion 20:06, 16 Jun 2005 (UTC)
- some were later equipped with a hyperdrive but most did not have one, but what else could they use see V-19 Torrent starfighter article
- Okay, but I'm sure there are a number of models of externally mounted hyperdrives. All I am saying is the geometry doesn't seem to match. In short, is there a source stating the V-19 ever used a Syluire-45 Hyperspace Transport Ring? If there is not, than the reference from this article should be moved to the generic article on Hyperdrive booster rings (P.S., to sign your posts with your name, put -- at the end, and to sign with your name and a timestamp, put --~~~~ at the end. - He is possibly speaking of this particular sentance; "However, many of the hyperdrive-less fighters remained, and General Grievous took advantage of this when he destroyed the hyperdrive rings of the V-19s that followed Viceroy Gunray to the Separatist council rendezvous." which insinuates that the V-19's did use hyperdrive rings (although what class of ring is not said). I don't know what the source for the mentioned quote is either, so essentially some one's gotta find the source for this. -- Falmarin 20:47, 16 Jun 2005 (UTC)
- Yes, I found that, but it doesn't mention the Syluire-45 (or Syluire-31 for that matter) by name, and as you said the source is not clear for that, though I suspect the ROTS novelization.--Eion 21:00, 16 Jun 2005 (UTC)
