Rebel Alliance
Edit
How is this a Rebel Alliance vehicle? Only Biggs Darklighter and Luke Skywalker ever used one, and that was in their spare time, before they joined the Alliance. --Imp 20:50, 4 Aug 2005 (UTC)
- In addition, these airspeeders were often used as training vehicles by the Rebel Alliance in the Beggar's Canyon, due to their flight controls being similar to that of T-65 X-Wings.
- That seems like enough to me. MarcK 21:00, 4 Aug 2005 (UTC)
- Erm. Yeah. Nothing to see here... --Imp 21:12, 4 Aug 2005 (UTC)
Is it possible that we might do a redirect from a search for "T16"? My search was for the skyhopper, but when I tried "T16" (notice no dash) I found nothing. After I typed "skyhopper" then it gave me something. Just wondering.Keelu Kenobi 22:21, 18 April 2007 (UTC)
Picture
Edit
Where did that image of a T-16 come from? General Kenobi 19:26, 29 Dec 2005 (UTC)
- The databank.--Xilentshadow900 19:30, 29 Dec 2005 (UTC)
- I mean, where did they get the image from? Where did a live-action image of a T-16 come from? General Kenobi 19:33, 29 Dec 2005 (UTC)
- Ask the guys at LFL. My guess would be they made it up for the trading card game.--Xilentshadow900 19:34, 29 Dec 2005 (UTC)
- I see. That's what I thought. It's a cool pic, so I wondered where it came from. General Kenobi 19:37, 29 Dec 2005 (UTC)
- I'm pretty sure it first appeared in the A New Hope Limited expansion for the Star Wars Customizable Card Game; there's also another good image, this time of Luke's T-16, to be found in the Jedi Pack. jSarek 23:06, 29 Dec 2005 (UTC)

Episode II
Edit
- I wonder why the Skyhopper in Episode II is designated as being a T-16 in this article? It could very well be a predecessor of the T-16. This vehicles doesn't have an official designation yet. --Sompeetalay 15:13, 17 January 2008 (UTC)
- Because there's no reason to believe it isn't. Tony Knightcrawer 04:02, 23 June 2008 (UTC)
Pneumatic Cannons?
Edit
I've wondered this for a long time? What exactly are "pneumatic cannons?" I never really liked hydraulics in physics, and that's supposed to be similar right? What, does it shoot air? Does it use air to shoot slugs? Is it something more out of left field like using air instead of tibanna gas to make a weaker blaster bolt? I'm confused. Tony Knightcrawer 04:05, 23 June 2008 (UTC)
Basically, yeah, it's a glorified air gun. "Pneu" is the root meaning "air." Obviously this is just speculation, but perhaps it's something like an airsoft gun...there's a motor and gearbox that creates the pressure to fire the projectile (assuming as well that there's a magazine feed somewhere in the speeder). Or maybe gas is bled off from the engine and is redirected to power the cannon. Either way I'd think it would be easier and safer to maintain, especially for a civilian, since you wouldn't be dealing with volatile energy weapons. Cozmo 15:31, July 13, 2010 (UTC)
Appearance in new MMO?
Edit
I just checked the new screen shots for the up coming the Old Republic MMO, and in a shot of the Tython Academy there are what seem to be two T16 skyhoppers on the roof... http://www.swtor.com/media/screens/jedi-enclave-tython Adamqd
Pneumatic cannons
Edit
What is the source that states T-16's have these type of cannons? It's not sourced. --Jawaman No, I did NOT steal your droid! 16:14, December 21, 2009 (UTC)
- Seriously, what is the source? I'm trying to create an article for it, but I got no source(s). Who placed "pneumatic cannons" in the article anyway? --Jawaman No, I did NOT steal your droid! 19:16, December 21, 2009 (UTC)
Folding wings
Edit
I had the toy T-16 skyhopper as a kid, and the toy's wings folded up for land, much like a Lambda Shuttle. Is that canon? Or do the higher sources show the T-16 landing with its wings as they are? 300 km flight ceiling?
Edit
The generally accepted boundary between Outer Space and the atmosphere on Earth is around 100km. I find it difficult to believe that any planet capable of being inhabited by humans has three times that amount of atmosphere. Does that mean that the T-16 is actually capable of space flight? ApolloTaren 06:33, August 19, 2010 (UTC)
- Earth =/= Tatooine. Just because that boundary is here on Earth doesn't mean it is that way on all planets. Taral, Dark Lord of the Sith -Just shy, not antisocial: You can talk to me!- 13:50, May 18, 2011 (UTC)
