[edit] Move

This is the same gun as the T-21 Light Repeating Blaster, right? If so, than I can move it and add more info from the Essential Guide to Weapons and Technology.-LtNOWIS 02:35, 10 Jul 2005 (UTC)

  • Yes, if its the same weapon, go right ahead. -- Riffsyphon1024 02:38, 10 Jul 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Nonsensical stats

This is one of those articles that I discover randomly and just says to me "what the heck where these authors smoking when they wrote this nonsense?" And by that I mean the EU authors of whoever said this weapon only had 25 shots, required a backpack for more, and had a maximum range of only 300m. Never mind that AotC and RotS disprove such patent nonsense handily (what with smaller and equivalent sized weaponry being fired at kilometre ranges)- but TESB already did that with the Battle of Hoth. Not to mention it defies common sense- what, does the blaster bolt just disappear at 300m? We're supposed to believe such a massive weapon has less range, maximum, than an M16?! God. Someone make my day and tell me this load of garbage has been corrected in a newer edition please? And the backpack claim- I mean really, were they paying attention when we see the Stormtrooper toting one in ANH with none? Are we to believe he was going around with just 25 shots, when a carbine can carry one hundred? If this is from say, the 2004 new essential guide (as the picture seems to be), then they have even less excuse for such an egregious lack of common sense and basic firearms precepts. • I agree with you 100%, but what do you expect when most star wars stuff is sub-contracted (or the equivalent too) to Idiots straight out of college? - Unsigned comment by Darth Awar (talk • contribs).
  • Totally agree. The inconsistencies among the various EU books and games I can take, but some of these authors should really sit down for a minute and use some common sense before just writing stupid stuff.

Why would anyone use this blaster over an E-11, that has presumably more than three times the maximum range, four times the capacity while being less than half as big and much, much lighter?

From the way the blaster is portrayed in the movies and the mere name "light repeating blaster" gives me the impression whoever "created" this gun meant it to be some sort of light support weapon similar to the real worlds light MGs (the use of a Lewis gun for the prop supports this)... I hope this will be cleared up one day, along with the other mess. Unsigned comment by 84.152.73.247 (talk • contribs).

  • The range stat for the T-21 is probably just one of the many figures left over from West End Games, which as we all know was infamous for listing things too slow, too small, etc to match with either the movies or with common sense. Unfortunately, such stats remain as C-canon until a newer source contradicts them. 71.203.209.0 23:19, 3 May 2007 (UTC)
  • The real-life equivalent of the T-21 Light repeating blaster is the M249 Squad Automatic Weapon. The M249 has a range of 1000 m, twice the range of the M-16. The range must be greater than 300 m. As for the ammunition, I for one have never seen a Stormtrooper carrying a T-21 without a backpack. Even though the pack is called a 'Survival Pack', it may be possible that it also holds a power generator. We never see the T-21 attached to the backpack, but it could have a capacitor that holds, for instance, 25 rounds. Every so often, the soldier can connect the weapon to the backpack to recharge the capacitor. I am not trying to support West End Games or whoever wrote this, but it 'could' make sense. [edit] Battlefront 2

Should we say that it is portrayed as many types of launchers in Battlefront 2?Lieutenant J.J 08:16, 4 February 2009 (UTC)Lieutenant J.J
