Sourcing
Edit
While I was updating some of the spec data on this article I came across a few unsourced claims that aren't backed up by the RPG sourcebooks. Since they might be from the NJO novels that I don't have in front of me, I've marked them as needing citations instead of just removing them. - Slagass (talk) 21:00, August 26, 2012 (UTC)
Image
Edit
The image for this article is incorrect. The image shown is that of a T-65T Tandem (Two-man) X-wing. [This] or [this] would seem a better candidate assuming permission could be attained. YIIMM

Specs
Edit
Someone entered "7" for the number of engines. I do believe that it should be "4". Can anyone else confirm this? Jedi Ranger 02:19, 12 March 2006 (UTC)
The article clearly states that the third proton torpedo launcher brings the total torpedo complement of the XJ3 up to nine. Previous X-wing models had two launchers and a complement of 6 torpedos. Each launcher, therefore, has a complement of 3 torpedos each, yet the torpedo complement per launcher in the specs is listed as 4, which would make the total torpedo complement twelve. The torpedo complement per launcher needs to be changed from 4 to 3.
- I asked for a source. The article could be wrong. —Grand Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision)

- The New Jedi Order Sourcebook lists the torpedo capacity at 4 per launcher. Article has been updated to reflect that with sourcing. - Slagass (talk) 21:00, August 26, 2012 (UTC)
Speed
Edit
Does anyone have a source confirming the top speed of the XJ3 (and presumably the XJ series) as 160 MGLT? That would make the XJs significantly faster than the 120 MGLT A-wing. Yet in the NJO books, in battle descriptions where A-wings and XJs are both present, tactical use of the A-wing suggests it still maintains pride of place as the fast(er)-moving strike craft of choice. Is this merely an oversight on the part of the authors, a mindset of the A-wing as the fastest thing in the New Republic arsenal carried over from pre-NJO material? Or does anything canon suggest A-wing speed upgrades over 160 MGLT? Or is the 160 MGLT figure for the XJ3 merely an error?
Futhermore, according to sources as early as the Guide to the Star Wars Universe (and still reflected in the T-65 Wookieepedia article), the T-65 X-wing's speed works out to 80 MGLT with the TIE at 100 MGLT. However, I positively remember a canon source (though I'm not currently sure which) in which characters are comparing the capabilities of a third fighter with that of the TIE and X-wing that definitively indicates that at some point between the Galactic Civil War and the Yuuzhan Vong War the X-wing's speed had been upgraded to match that of the TIE Fighter at 100 MGLT.
Does anyone have a firm grasp on the evolution of the X-wing's speed capabilities from 0-25+ ABY with canon support? 24.196.3.142 08:07, 19 December 2008 (UTC)
Infobox.
Edit
I don't know what happened, but I can't seem to fix the infobox. Admiral J. Nebulax (talk) 17:06, 26 March 2006 (UTC)
- It was an extra }} after [[Astromech droid]] (1). The infobox programming is very picky about such things. —Darth Culator (talk) 20:01, 26 March 2006 (UTC)
- Oh. Thank you. Admiral J. Nebulax (talk) 21:00, 26 March 2006 (UTC)
